Valentine was a Gold Card Member of the Bricklayers union, in his early 70's living at 45 11 Street, NJ. Carol inquired several years ago to the Bricklayers union to find info on George Theis Jr. and she also found this info.

Valentine worked as a defense worker in WW2 w/George Jr, William and Max. They were bricklayers, employed by John Kelly Sr of Philadelphia PA (Princess Grace's father) They traveled by bus and train to Philly, Norfolk, VA an dBaltimore MD to various shipyards building foundations and such for barracks. They did that in lieu of being drafted.Valentine was a bricklayer/foreman for many years for J. Harry McNally a mason contractor who did the masonry work for schools, hospitals and other large buildings mostly in NYC. John Theis Sr also worked for McNally before that and George Theis JR as well. In 1950 Valentine became a building inspector w/William Theis. Valentine retired as Chief Inspector in 1973 at age 66.
