Walking to school in the morning is my best time of the day, thinking of nothing, just enjoying the sun going up over the mountains and the olive groves.
What could be better than this?! To teach and to spend your day with the noblest of work! And in the best of company! - The children!
The teacher' s day begins early, welcoming every individual child as it enters the classroom. By our own behaviour, we can prevent many problems from ever occurring! A good start of the day prepares for a calm and nice continuation!
We are waiting for the school buses to come in. This is the time of the day when we can learn to know every single child in our class and ...

If a child is sad or misbehaves during the day, you already know him and can suggest to him a suitable occupation that he really likes!
In this nice way you can easily direct his energy to something more useful!
Caring for the children as individuals, not only for the class as a whole, is an investment that we choose to do, or not to do, with clear and different results!
If you coose to be in-active, you have under-estimated your own importance and your role as the leader of the class!
Following the suggestions mentioned here, will get you a happier class, loving school, looking forward to every new day, eager to see what you will teach them - and see what wonderful surprises you have prepared for them for their school day! Care for them, and they will care for you!

Careful planning and sufficient preparations make lessons that are nice, informative and enjoyable!
If you have made yourself an important person for each child and if you begin lessons in ways that interest the children - thus getting their attention - teaching the whole class will be so much nicer!
Keeping the children's attention is the key to learning. Walking in and out of classrooms during lessons should be kept to a minimum.
Don't exceed the children's attention span. Change subject/activity/way of teaching before the children get bored! Activate as many children as possible at the same time! If you are not interesting enough, the children will begin activating themselves.
