I was a farmer for 20 years and I just love all things that grow, both animals and plants. During spring I went outside, just to feel the fragrance of the grass and the wildflowers that were coming up to see the sun. In the summer time there was this beuaty of the young ones that where born, lovely foals running around the mothers, playing and getting some milk. I could sit and wondered about all the beauty around this magnificent creatures, thinking about what would come of them when they got older. In the autumn it was wonderful to see all the nature chance into these beautiful mellow colours and everything seemed to go much slower. The winters were especial to me, taken care of the animals feeding them and all that stuff, huging them telling them my secrets. Milking the cows (this is naturally done all year around) but in the winter time you have them inside, for about nine months so they become very close to you. The cowshed almost gets to be your second home. The cows are my favorite stock for they have this charm and sometimes they almost talk to you with there eyes and body. Helping them to get a birth to their calfs is one of the major things in life for every dairy farmer.

I got divorced in january 1997 and left the farm with my 5 children and started new life in Selfoss, a little town on the south coast of Iceland. My life today is quiite diffrent and lot more easier than it was in my farming days. I met my new husband at a sanatorium in the begin of february 1998 and few months later we started to live together. I had never understood people talking about being in love "forever" but, I know that we are, because it is like we have always known each other. Some times it feels like we are one person in our thougts. I have never before in my life felt how good it is to be loved. I have 5 children that I love and they love me.We shared our love to keep us protected from being distroyed. We lived in fear so I had to give them all my strength to survive. Now Im bloomig and loved ,and that is one great feeling.
