Mark Powell's Top Flyte kit " Corsair ".  Powered by OS .61.  Radio is Futaba FF7.  Model crashed 04/11/01 (picture) but Mark will no doubt repair it.  This model is now rebuilt and looks and flies like new. (03/04)

Pike plus

DMFC member Gordon Waldman has successfully designed, built and flown a number of slope soarers specially for Darwin conditions.  The model is his    " Pike Plus " .

 

Dan Holloway

Another " Soarstar " electric.  This one belongs to Dan Holloway.  Suffered radio failure, crashed and was damaged on its test flight and has been rebuilt and is ready to fly.

PC6  Porter

A PC6 " Pilatus Porter " scratch built by Bob Wolff from Airborne plans.  Power from OS 46FX.  Test flown by John Ellis 18th March 2001.

 

Peter Ball

Popular VMAR Cessna ARF.  This one is Peter Ball's.  Suffered minor damage after hitting tree on dead stick landing only minutes after this photo taken. (11/03/01)  Model back in the air 5th. May 2001.

Steve Raskin  1/2A

Steve Raskin with a 1/2 A pylon racer.  Power is from an OS CZ11.  Origin is unknown as model was purchased from Western Australia.

Mark Powell with a popular 1/6 scale model of a " Tiger Moth ".  Mark built this model a few years ago and still flies it regularly.

 

P82 Twin Mustang

Chris Walker's P82 Mustang from a World Model ARF kit.  Power is from two .52 Magnum 4 strokes.  Test flown 20 January 2002.  Very realistic in flight. Model now owned and flown by Peter Ball.  Chris is now in South Australia.

Piper Pawnee

This scratch built Piper Pawnee by Ric Wadrop from Airborne plans has recently had an engine upgrade to a Magnum 120 2 stroke. Ric is now in Queensland.

 

Zlin

Another scratch built model from Ric Wadrop.  This is a " Zlin Z142-G " aerobatic trainer.

Moraine

RickWadrop's  1/5 scale Morane "SAULNIER Type N" is  latest model.  Scratch built from plans the aircraft is powered by OS 46FX, Sig Coverall, controls are all moving stabiliser and rudder. Wing warping wires are for scale effect.  Maiden flight 26/10/03

 

Firefly

Scratch built Fairey Firefly from CAP/RCMW plans built by Rick Wadrop. Features full retracts, tailwheel door sequencing and on-board glow driver.  Power is a Magnum 91 4 stroke.  Model based on RAN museum aircraft.  Various views     (6/7/03)

 Rick Wadrop's nice electric Newtimer. The Newtimer kit is from CERMARK, using the supplied engine (a 470 size) and non-folding prop  - with a 9.6V, 1100mAh Nicad battery pack and an ESC.  I am using a JR Tx/Rx.  I have managed a couple of take-offs from the ground, although most flights have been hand launched. Tim Shaw's Vario " Kobold ".  This is a very stable and predictable "6o size" training Helicopter. Now being flown by Shaun Carrol.

Dallas Wynne with a pair of Nelson QM.40 powered " Stilleto " Formula 400 pylon racers.  Dallas  competed in the Nationals in Busselton in April 2001.  He came 2nd. in both FAI and F400 pylon.
