Maybe! But, I'm bored, and this is a great way to procrastinate (and, uh, after all, you are still here, aren't you? Morbid curiosity maybe...). So, if you are someone who actually came here to read this stuff, let's cut to the chase, shall we?
I was born on October 27, 1979, in the beautiful city of Boston, Massachusetts. Yes, it's the best city in the world; yes, I'm biased. I grew up in the tiny town of Hull, Massachusetts, where I lived my whole life until coming to college here in the not so tiny city of Washington, DC. I grew up with my two parents, Rick and Stacey, and my cat, Chance, who was with us until I was 11 or 12. I think I vaguely thought Chance was my sister since I'm the only child (not really, but it would have been kind of cool to have a cat for a sister). I led the relatively normal life of an extreme tomboy. I preferred playing soccer to playing house (although house was fun), GI Joe to Barbie, and He-Man to My Little Pony. Needless to say it somewhat strained relations with my young girlfriends at the time, but we managed to work something out. In the summer, I played kickball after school until the streetlights came on, and spent about 75% of the weekend playing soccer. In the winter I alternated praying for snow with praying for warm weather so I could play some more soccer.
I went to High School in Hull, at none other than the Hull Junior/Senior High School. Yes, during my tenure at good ol' Hull High 7-12 grade was there. I don't think I need to emphasize how frightening it can be being in the 7th grade and seeing what seem to be actual adults walking around (many of whom would go out of their way to make your life miserable, but I won't mention any names). It was especially scary for me, since I had gone to private school up until then; now compounded with the fact that there were all these big scary people walking around, I didn't know but a few people who happened to live in my neighborhood. But, I prospered, survived, whatever you want to call it, and I'm a much different person now then I was then (in a better way, I'd like to think). Apparently they have since restructured the whole school system so now Hull is a "normal" high school. Hmm... moving right along...
So, toss in a few years of college, and here I am. I just graduated from The George Washington University. College was pretty good to me. I made some great friends, had an AMAZING time studying abroad in France, did some "real world" work, and managed to learn a few things along the way. As of July 30, I'm in the "real world". I've been working in Mutual Fund Custody Accounting after having some relaxation/cycling time between graduation and starting the job. I like the job so far; I'm learning a lot and I really like the people I work with. I love being back in Boston, even though I miss DC sometimes and the past four winters in DC have been me a bit of softy. Hopefully I'll get reaccustomed to the extreme chilliness we have here.
If you know of anything I've forgotten or should add on, let me know.
