The Duties Of The Council

The OOC council was formed based upon what I believe to be balance the main function of the council... to maintain the level of equality. The council is to judge the scrolls of combat, decide if matters are IC or OOC. Decide the arena competition schedules and what magical items are to be there. The council is also responsible for decent roleplaying plots, and will set up planned roleplaying sessions where it will involve denizens of Hell roleplaying ( I stress roleplaying, not combat here) in the main rooms sometimes. The council must not use their names to benefit them in any way in a roleplaying environment. [e.x. Larence: Well I know I am right dood, I am on the Hell OOC council.] The members of the council are also responsible for training willing and able new people to the realm of roleplaying in all aspects of online roleplaying that we cover.

Code of Conduct

    Council members are expected to:
  1. Value the people of Hell, and visitors from other realms, treating them respectfully.
  2. Put the best interest of Hell and its RPers ahead of themselves.
  3. Keep OOC and IC issues seperate.
  4. Use their titles to identify themselves with posts or in rooms for the purpose of officiating over RP disputes, to state their opinions, etc. They have earned their titles and are encouraged to use them.
  5. Be impartial when posting or judging or pass the subject on to another member.
  6. Post truthfully and factually, providing proof when asked or needed. Proof, not hearsay or gossip.
  7. Investigate and/or get proof from others before posting or taking action on a subject.
  8. Discuss issues with the parties involved directly, whenever possible, before taking it to the boards.
  9. Defend themselves, if posted against, in the same fashion they are spoken to. (i.e. if a council member is patronized, insulted, threatened... they are -free- to respond in kind.)
  10. Have the maturity to leave the past in the past and not bring attitudes from previous disagreements into current discussions.
