News from Sept. 19-- By Colin Damaged

A lot has happened since we last updated this page. It seems like we have come out on a European split release with the band, Stage Disaster. Actually, we're pretty pround of this. Who would have thought that a few punks from Adams would have made it this far. As far as we know, this is as far as any band from this town has ever been, It's not like anyone will know that publicly. But at least we know. And we know you know, too. Also, thanks Paffy!

Lately we have all been pretty restless. Which means we are ready to get our act back together again. Between politics, baseball, and work, it's just too much to endure without ripping shit up. So The Damaged should be coming to your town soon.

News from April 29, 2004-- By Colin Damaged

Well, what the fuck is up? Yeah, it's been a while hasn't it? Oh well, alot of shit has been happening. Al's baby is almost here. Kevin moved to Brattleboro for a new job. And Marks gonna graduate from college. It seems like its all a blur. Don't worry about the fate of the band with Kevin moving to Brattleboro, it will not suffer. Brattleboro isn't really all that far. He comes home on weekends anyway. I, on the other hand, spend most of my time drinking beer and watching the Sox. That's when I'm not working ofcourse. So with all these life changes going on at once its a little fucked up. But like we say, "Everyday is a battle. But life is a war.". Ain't it the fucking truth...

News from January 26, 2004-- By Colin Damaged

Happy fucking New Year and all that happy shit! And no, we aren't dead. Even though it seems like it, we do have a pulse.

Ya see, we felt like that last few shows we played were kinda shitty. They weren't what we would call "Damage Quality". And seeing as how we have never really taken a break in the nine years that we have been doing this, we figured the shit winter months would be perfect. We wanted to save ourselves from being burnt out on the one thing we love to do more than anything, play. So apologizes to you for not providing you with some drunken relief from the pain in the fucking ass that is winter. And don't believe any rumors of a break up because that's just someone talking out thier ass. So what have we been doing? Well, we've written a bunch of new shit to spice up the setlist. I got a new job! I now work at the North Adams Transcript in the circulation department. No more gas fumes for this motherfucker! Al is preparing for fatherhood. Kevin is attached to his guitar. Marks got his nose in the books and his ass in the drum seat. In a few weeks, the best songs off our two cd's will be released in Germany on a split release with Die Optimale Harte. And if anyone owns a copy of the latest No. 13 zine outta Boston. Email me! Holidays were a blur and we are glad they're over.

Well as we gear up to start playing again, we can always use your help. Got shows, venues, a band to play with, etc.? Let us know, ColinDamaged@yourmom.com

Cheers!

News from December 7, 2003-- By Colin Damaged

Holy fuckin snowfall! Well ain't New England living just grand! Hope you all dug yourselves out okay. I have a feeling this is only the tip of the iceberg.

To any of ours fans in Europe, we have recently come out on the "Peace Attack" comp on Impact Records. You can buy it anywhere in Germany. So save up your Euros cuz it's a pretty good comp even though I can't understand what most of the bands are saying.

As for what we've been up to lately, we've been writing and jamming out some new shit. As well as getting ready for the holidays, oh boy! Remember the clap is the gift that keeps on giving. Or maybe that's gonnorhea? I don't know but either one of those will make your dick fall off. Cheers!

News from November 6, 2003-- By Colin Damaged

Well, well....A whole month with no news but idle we were not. We recorded what we hope will be our next release. We shot down to New Haven CT to record with our good friend Seth Moyer who was in The Detriments with us. We recorded "King of the Working Class", "So Long, Solo", "Monday Mornings", and "Rock and a Workplace". We still have to have it mixed and mastered and we'll need to pinch our pennies for that. So as soon as we have a final product, you'll hear it. As always, I wish we had the funds to put out albums on a consistent basis, but we are severly limited by our need to pay our bills so they don't turn the hot water off.

CHECK US OUT ON SATURDAY AT MSC WITH PEELANDER Z! If you miss this then you have no one to blame but yourself!

News from September 27, 2003-- By Colin Damaged

Ladies and gentlemen! October baseball has returned to New England! As some of you know, we are huge Red Sox fans and we are fucking psyched to see them clinch the A.L. wild card. Hopefully we can see them meet the Yankees in the ALCS and crush those fucking bastards!

In other news, we are talking to our old buddy Seth Moyer, and hopefully we will be able to record some stuff in the near future. If it sounds good, you'll hear it.

The USM are back with Rocco and a whole new lineup and it looks like we might hook up on a few shows. Stay tuned.

Keep your eyes out for the new Street Dogs video for the song "Savin Hill".

News from September 9, 2003-- By Colin Damaged

Al's gonna be a daddy! Yes, the first ever Damaged offspring will be born! Congrats to Al and Kate. So this means that in 13 years or so we'll have a new rhythm guitar player. Hehe... And be careful folks when slamming at our shows in about seven months, you might step on Al Jr..

Kevin, my other brother Scott, and I went down to the Bronx the other day to Yankee Stadium and watched the Red Sox lose 3-1. It was a heartbreaking loss but we did salvage the day by getting shitfaced and taking out our frustrations on random Yankees fans. And yet somehow, after the game, we ended up on top of some parking garage getting even more trashed with some of the same Yankees fans that we were giving shit to. Maybe they aren't so bad. They did give us free beer afterall. Yankees still suck though.

News from September 1, 2003-- By Colin Damaged

Happy Labor Day! Big deal, I had to work today anyways. Oh, the irony.. So right now Mark should be settled in his dorm room all nice and cozy and cooking up crack on his hotplate. Well, maybe not crack. Thats why we don't have any shows booked for the moment. So stayed tuned as I am sure we will have some booked soon.

News from August 20, 2003-- By Colin Damaged

Well, the Suburban Noise Fest was awesome! We played a 20-minute set early in the day and got to kick back and watch killer sets by The Explosion, Darkbuster, The Hunns and so many others that it makes my head spin. Oh yeah, Slapshot blew me away!! And not to mention that the Hunns have a new bass player....who breathes fire! She is the bass player in Nashville Pussy as well, so if you've seen a picture of this chick then you know what I mean. The days highlights included free beer and food, Al getting his initials tattooed on his chest, Kevin and I getting to meet Paul from Mung, and watching Duane Peters eat out his bass player (really!). All in all a crazy fun day. Thanks to Stu, my Dad, Scott M., Scotty B, and Lindsay for all their help this week, I really appreciate it, without you none of this would have been possible.

NEW MERCH!!! Yes, it's true. We have brand new buttons, t-shirts, and wifebeaters. All priced low and ready to go! Throw me an email or catch up with us at a show to get yours.

That's it for now, see ya on the 24th with the Dickies!!

News from August 11, 2003-- By Colin Damaged

Ya want news? Here's some fucking news for ya! We have just been booked to play the "Surburban Noise Festival"!!! Playing will be Slapshot, DRI, Duane Peters and the Hunns, DOA, Darkbuster, The Unseen, Down By Law, Kings of Nuthin', Kill Your Idols, and many more! The tickets are $20 before the show and $25 the day of. We're goin on at 12:50 PM, so make sure you get there early!!! Click the banner on the main page for all the info. If you don't show up to this one then you got problems.

Also, we will have new merch at Surburban Noise Fest and our show with Duane and the Hunns at MSC on Thursday. New buttons, wifebeaters, t-shirts, yeah! See you all soon! CHEERS!

News from July 31, 2003-- By Colin Damaged

Call me old fashioned, but, I always thought that it was up to the venue to sell tickets for shows. Hell, Kevin needs new tires and has bills up the ass, Al lives paycheck to paycheck, Mark works just to have cash for school, and shit, I think you know about me. So, that is the reason why we had to back out of the Toasters show down at the Webster. I know that I promised we'd play but, upon further examination of the contract that they sent us, we found that if we didn't sell all 75 tickets then we would have to pay the balance up to $900 bucks! And seeing as how we all work full-time and we come from East Bumfuck there was very little chance of selling them. Plus, we don't believe that we should have to pay to play. Probably sounds like a bunch of excuses, but we don't give a fuck, we're giving it to ya in black and white, we can't lie to ya. So, with all the shit pissing us off lately I think we are just ready to fucking explode. And if you want to see that massive fireball then come down to MSC on August 14 and watch it with us and the Hunns. Now, you know we never have to back out of those shows. Well, I'm off to pay my phone bill. CHEERS!

News from July 26, 2003-- By Colin Damaged

Well, well, well..... Let's see. Okay, if you have never seen or heard of the band, Peelander-Z, then you need to change that right away. We played with these guys at MSC on June 19 and it was the best live show that I've have ever seen. You'll laugh so hard that you'll shit your pants like an old man on a bumpy train ride! They should be back soon and you have to be there. I'll keep ya posted.

Man, have you ever had a week where you can't get your fucking act together. Ah, too much beer makes me lazy. But all there is to do is drink....catch 22!

Go to Fatcityrockers.com and get yourself a copy of the lastest issue containing the free comp that we are on! It's an awesome comp. Alot of great unreleased and hard to find stuff, not like all the other comps with all the shit you already have.

GO TO MSC ON AUGUST 14 CUZ WE ARE PLAYING WITH THE HUNNS!!!! You can't miss this show. Watch us and the Hunns and watch Duane Peters rip it up on the half-pipe. SWEEEEET!

Today the Boston Red Sox beat the NY Yankees and tomorrow we (kevin, mark, scott, my dad, and myself) go to Fenway to watch the Sox kick their ass again! Keep your eyes open during the seventh, cuz if we are losing bad then I might just run onto the field and kick Derek Jeter in the teeth! Alright, time to go be bored...CHEERS!!

News from July 4, 2003-- By Colin Damaged

Happy Fourth of July!! Just remember that fireworks are outside toys, not inside....Nah, screw that! They're much more fun inside! Alright, heres the scoop. Shows, shows, shows...we got 'em. So get your drunk-ass to them! July 13 and 19 at MSC as well as a show with America's first ska band, THE TOASTERS! This show is at the Webster Theater in Hartford, CT. Yeah, I know what happened with the last show at the Webster, but I assure you that this one is going to happen. We are under the same ticket deal that we were last time so if you are want to go, and this is going to be a fucking kick-ass show, then contact us for ticket information. They are $12 a piece and the show is all ages. ColinDamaged@yourmom.com or kdmoran@hotmail.com, or call 413-441-3569.

We also have shows coming up in Westfield with Duane Peters and the Hunns and The Dickies. So, unless you have been knocked unconscious by a bag of bricks, I wanna see you at these shows!

Tuesday show was great and big ups to Employees Only!

Also, we might be doing a little radio promotion for the Toasters show on 99.3 outta Northampton. Hopefully, we will be debuting the new song, "So Long, Solo". We'll keep ya posted. Anyways, enough chatter, time to light off some fucking fireworks! Cheers!

News from June 29, 2003-- By Colin Damaged

Well, Sundays recording session went well and we anticipate the results very soon. Also, I just want to dispell any rumors of a break-up. Holy shit, nothing could be farther than the truth. This stuff is in our blood and we'll keep doing it til we look old and pathetic.

Tuesdays show at MSC should be killer with a great lineup including The Virus, The Boils, and Pittsfield's own, Employees Only! So don't waste your Summer by sitting on your ass and getting fat. Get up, get out!

Also, we are gonna play the Webster in Hartford in August with the Toasters. I'll keep ya posted And thanks to Scotty B for showing Lindsay and I such a great time in Boston this weekend! Always a good fucking time, even when the Sox lose. Well, tonights the last night of my vacation, so I'm off to raise a few cold ones. CHEERS!

News from June 20, 2003-- By Colin Damaged

Just back in from a benefit show at the Hadley Pub. Thanks to Jay and everybody who showed up even though some mics got broke before our set. Therefore, it forced us to share one good mic and one shitty one found in the depths of Kevin's gear box. We ended up having a really good time despite the fact that we left at 1 am and Kevin had to work at 4:30 am, ouch! And sorry I didn't post the show on the page cuz it's just been a little busy round here (you can kick me in the ass next time ya see me).

Sunday we are going to be heading in the studio and hopefully it will result in a new Damaged single. We're testing out a new studio and if the results are up to par then you will be hearing the new song, "So Long, Solo" very soon. And then many more in the near future, I promise!

And by the way I have posted more lyrics on the lyrics page so check them out and share my mic next show! And the pics page is in the process of being updated too. CHEERS!

News from June 8, 2003-- By Colin Damaged

Greetings from the pits of Small Town Hell! Alrighty, we got more shows on the way! I just got hammer out the details and post them on the page. I'm sure you're on the edge of your seat. Fat City magazine out of Boston is putting out a free comp with it's next issue. It features yours truly, GG Allin, One Man Army, CKY, Mighty Mighty Bosstones, The USM, Gein and the Grave Robbers, as well as a shitload of others that I can't remember. If you are interested just go to FatCityRockers.com and check out how to get yourself a copy. And not to mention it's just a real fucking kick ass magazine anyways, so check it out! Al and I went to Northern Lights the other night and caught the Bosstones show and just so you know, they haven't missed a beat. The only problem Al and I had was scraping all the little 14 year olds off our boots. Some shows I feel old and I'm only 23, what the fuck. Also, congrats to all my friends in Mt. Greylocks' Class of 2003 cuz it's all downhill from here! Cheers!!

News from May 24, 2003-- By Colin Damaged

Ya know, there really is no place like home. Needless to say the homecoming show was a success thanks in part to Mike Bloom, The USM, Dirty Water, and you. We had a great time. Its be too long and hopefully with the success of last nights show, there might be more in the future. But in actually, I think the real action happened in the parking lot (wink wink). Thanks again to everyone! Cheers!

News from May 7, 2003-- By Kevin Damaged

First off I really encourage everyone to read Colin's (my little brother) post from May 6. Indeed the show on the 23rd is gonna rock.
I've heard that our Web site redesign is gonna be extremely kick-ass. Colin's seen some drawrings (remember Simon?) and site plans of the site by his excellency Chris LaFrance. And apparently they rock.
Did I mention to read the May 6th post by Colin? Get yr ass to the show muthrrr fukrrr!
I was trying to think of my Top 10 albums of all time today. Difficult. But let me try. And, by the way this does not include "Victim of Circumstance" which some have called the best album you've never heard:
1. London Calling -- The Clash
2. Freak Show -- The Freeze
3. 1984 -- Van Halen
4. Foo Fighters -- Foo Fighters
5. Master of Puppets -- Metallica
6. Dirt -- Alice In Chains
7. Back In Black -- AC/DC
8. Sin -- The Detriments (remember them?)
9. Question the Answers -- Mighty Mighty Bosstones
10. Tattoo You -- The Rolling Stones
Fuck it, it'll change tomorrow. And by the way, I can't remember album names worth a shit. If you were stranded on an island with only 10 albums, what would they be?!

News from May 6, 2003-- By Colin Damaged

Yes, ladies and gentlemen! The rumors are true! After almost a two-year absence The Damaged are coming back home to (really) Western Mass.! And we're not coming alone. We will be bringing The USM and Dirty Water to participate in our hometown hell raising! May 23 at Key West in North Adams, MA at 9 pm, small cover. The show is 21+, sorry to our friends under 21. We are in the midst of trying to assemble another show locally that will be all ages, as it is our preference to play all ages shows. We encourage your attendance at this one because we want this homecoming to be a special one! (ever notice i love using exclamation points!!!!) And trust me, both The USM and Dirty Water kick some fucking ass so you've got nothing to lose and a good time to gain. We had a great time in Providence and want to thank Stu for the show. I'll tell ya though, that pole in the middle of the stage (not me) really throws me off. I did get a chance to talk to Rocco from The USM and both he and company are looking forward to a Western Mass. invasion. Thanks to Dave and Amanda for leading us home even though I fucked up and kept going straight. We got home just fine. CHEERS AND SEE YA ON MAY 23RD.!!!!!!!!

News from April 30, 2003-- By Kevin Damaged

Last night (April 29), we had a great time playing. Thanks to everyone down in Wastefield (we say down in Wastefield just cuz it's south of us) who came to see us. It's really an honor to have all the dudes and very hot women watch. It's really an honor to play for you.

Our next show is May 4, Providence, RI, at the Living Room. Show starts at 7:30 p.m. And we go on first -- there's like 7 bands. But we don't give a shit. That way we can drink some beers afterward. If you recall (and I don't very well), when we last played the Living Room, we drove home drunk in a snowstorm. We don't recommend it. But shit happens. Colin and I have a thing for sleeping in our own beds -- unless of course it's with a hot chick. Mark just likes to sleep. Al will -- shit, dude, I ain't goin' there.

Also, here at the heart of Damaged Central (37 Edmund Street), we've just received word our rent has increased by nearly 4.3 percent (which if you do the math is more than the cost of living). Even though it's still cheaper than a Canadian hooker (which if you go to http://www.montreal-escorts.com, is worth it -- not that we'd know personally), me and Colin are not happy. But what are we gonna do? You deal or you move. We deal.

News from April 21, 2003-- By Colin Damaged

Happy (belated) 4/20!....So the show at the Webster got cancelled. Seems that the Toilet Boys were having some tour trouble and wouldn't be able to make it. Still plenty of shows still coming up though! So get your drunk ass out to them and raise some hell! Oh yes, I am gonna be putting up some more lyrics up on the lyrics page (duh!). Enjoy!

News from April 14, 2003-- By Colin Damaged

Well, it's Sunday night. Kevin and Al are drinking Guiness and singing made up songs and I'm updating the web page. Ah, the life of low-rent rock n' roll. So here's the skinny people! Let's infest the Webster Theater on Friday, May 2! It should be a real ass kicker I'm sure. If you' ve never been to the Webster, it's a really cool club in Hartford (which isn't really that far away, so don't give me that excuse). Tickets can be bought through us, $10 a piece and like I said, please get them through us or we will be mooching beer money off ya for weeks. And in other news, Guitarist Kevin was in the Viking Pub on Saturday night and decided that it would be a good idea to steal the 10 ball from the pool table. And if it wasn't for the video cameras he would've gotten away with it. But needless to say, Kevin recieved a phone call early Sunday morning from the Viking asking for the 10 ball back. A sheepish Kevin placed the ball outside the bar and ran away like an embarrased kid who just pissed his pants at a wedding. Sorry, but Kevin's system of taking over society happens in very small steps. Cheers!

News from April 7, 2003-- By Colin Damaged

We arrived at MSC last night ready for a motherfucking good time, Electric Frankenstein arrived and then left. No offense to them, we understand that touring and all the shit that goes along with it can cost a pretty penny. But, would you rather play or go back to Jersey? I'd rather play, so we did. And it was a good thing too because the REAL rockers, The USM and The Crush showed up and played inspiring sets. BIG THANKS to them!! Please check out these two bands! Both had hooks and energy and enough heart to outplay Electric Frankenstein 100 times over. And many thanks go out to all our friends and family that attended! When it comes down to the bottom line, you are the only ones that matter to us, not what ends up in our wallets. I hope to see many more shows in the future with us and THE USM or THE CRUSH. They are all great guys and can walk the walk with their music. And on a sad note, our last show at the Moose we played, will be our last we will ever play there. Shows will no longer be held at the Moose due to a number of reasons. Needless to say we will miss getting loose at the Moose. To all who attended Moose shows, bought us beer at the bar, or lent us gear: THANK YOU! Stiem is in the process of finding another venue so our Westfield tradition can continue. CHEERS!!!

News from March 28, 2003-- By Colin Damaged

Alrighty! Well, the show at Westfield State was interesting to say the least. The bottom line is that we didn't win, we didn't even get second or third. Oh well, I guess we'll just never make it in this world of shitty hippy jam bands and bad metal groups. Thanks to all those who did show up in support! Hell, that was the first time I was ever on that campus and wasn't all fucked up on Icehouse. EVERYONE COME THE SHOW ON APRIL 6TH AT MSC WITH ELECTRIC FRANKENSTIEN AND USM!!! It is sure to be a rollicking good time!! Well, I gotta go take the Browns to the Super Bowl, til next time! CHEERS!

News from March 17, 2003-- By Colin Damaged

Cheers Motherfuckers! Alright, this is latest news... Chris Lafrance is going to help run the web page from now on. So, that means more updates, new pics, and much more! Because I know how much Kevin and I drag our asses when it comes to this web page...Al now owns the biggest TV I have ever seen!...Congrats to the Clash on thier induction to the R&R Hall of Fame! Too bad Joe couldn't have been there....And a note of the live CD. After thinking about it, I am probably the worst person to compile our live stuff. I have heard all of our material hundreds of times and know exactly how its supposed to sound, because we wrote it. So thats why I dont think the quality is that shit. So apologizes to all who cant make heads or tails out of it. But keep in mind that it is just us bootlegging ourselves and making it available to you. And until the day that we can do a better job of recording ourselves live, that's the best we can do....We have just finished writing some brand new stuff. A couple new ones called "So Long, Solo" and "Headlines and Deadlines". You'll be hearing them shortly at our upcoming gigs....I'm going to get a new car! Prepare yourself for the second coming of the Lagwagon!! That's it for now! And if I don't see you in the future, I'll see ya in the pasture!

News from February 24, 2003-- By Colin Damaged

THE LIVE CD IS FINISHED!! 13 Tracks in all. Some unreleased stuff and some familiar shit. Its gonna be 5 bucks and available at our shows or through our mail order. This Saturday at the Moose Lodge will be the first chance to pick one up. And I'm only making 100 of these fuckers, so once they're gone, they're gone baby! Everyone: COME TO THE MOOSE THIS SATURDAY!!! It's been a while sinced we've played so come on down, get shitty, and have a good fucking time! That's it for now, CHEERS!! P.S. al got his nipples pierced! just two of them though

News from January 5, 2003-- By Colin Damaged

Happy fucking New Year! Hope you all had a great Christmas.. Anyways....Sorry to Lysie and anyone who went to the Ralph's Diner show in Worcester. We fucked up on the date and missed the show. I know....we suck. We'll make it up to ya Worcester, cuz I really do feel like an ass. And yes, I know we do not update the web page as well as we should. That should change as it is my new New Years resolution to keep you all abreast of what's going on in Small Town Hell. We don't have anything booked for the moment as we are taking advantage of Marks winter break to practice and write a few new ditties! The live CD is gonna be called "Bar Business", nifty eh? Came up with it myself. And its almost good to go. ( i know i always say that). And thanks to all the girls who showed us their tits on New Years! Now I have something new to think about when I jack off. And lastly, I would just like to say that I am still reeling over the loss of Joe Strummer. All that's been in my stereo the last two weeks has been The Clash. There's a saying about The Clash that I always thought was true: "The Clash: The Only Band That Matters!". Well, I am off to raise a pint in his memory. CHEERS!

News from December 9, 2002-- By Colin Damaged

Apologizes to all who showed up to the Moose on Saturday night. Half the band (Al and I) were unable to make it at the last minute due to circumstances beyond our control. We are trying to come up with a title for the live CD. If you have any suggestions, email them to me at ColinDamaged@yourmom.com. If we pick yours I'll give ya a free copy of the live CD, as well as some other shit.

Holy shit!!! The Hipster Death Squad is in full effect! Alright, the live CD is so close to being done that I can practically taste it, yummy! I am just warning you that the quality won't be as good as Social D's "Live at the Roxy", but a little more like the live U.S. Bombs CD. But, if you like our shit, you'll probably dig it. Also, we have made some new patches. They are white on black and have a variety of slogans on them. Such as- "Fuck you!", "Eat shit!", "Rap sucks!", "I luv booze!", as well as many others. You can get them through our website or at our shows, hopefully you'll get them at our shows so I can see all your bright smiling faces! -CHEERS!!!

What the fuck is up, motherfuckers! Well, you've probably noticed that things have been a little slow around here in Small Town Hell. Mark's in school, Al and Kevin work too much and I am in the middle of self-discovery (just kidding). Anyways, we should have some shows up soon and I'm still working on putting together some live stuff on CD. So, please bear with us. Kevin and I just returned from a trip to Foxwoods Casino and now we have no money. But, what else is new.... If you have never been to a casino, you need to go. It is a fucking unreal experience! Old ladies gambling away their SS checks and handicapped people gambling away their disability checks. And you can smoke anywhere you want! Now that's class....
