NiteEyez
A cool outdoor decoration can be made from a string of Christmas lights and empty film containers.
Your local film processing place will usually give empty film containers to you for free. But if you got a Mom like mine you wont need to do this. Anyway take the film containers and drill a hole in the lid, small enough so a christmas light will fit through the hole. If you dont have a drill or the right size bit you can just cut an 'X' with a knife. In the lid not your hand.  Now simply press the light into the hole. Use black electrical tape to cover any places that light can get through where you cut. The color of the bulb does not really matter. The different colors make each set of eyes a little different. On the container cut out two small triangles or whatever shape you want the eyes to be. After the holes are cut, to the inside tape a peice of yellow or orange paper to cover the holes. Put the lid on the container and repeat the steps for the rest of the lights on the set. Hang in a tree or in the bushes, under your porch, where ever. It will scare the hell out of everyone..well maybe not but it sure does look cool.
When its dark and all the lights are out thats when your trees and bushes come to life with the help of NiteEyez. Glowing eyes fading in and out make a great addition to haunted houses.
The List
Christmas lights (the small ones)
Film Containers (free from film developers)
Colored paper: Yellow-Orange-Red
Scotch tape
Electrical tape
The X-Mas lights that work the best are the kind that have different settings. The coolest effect is the Slo-Glo setting. Where the different colors slowly fade in and out.
