| On 3 August we organized another BBQ for
all the Triple “A” members. We had all the ingredients that are necessary
to hold a BBQ: 80 half litter bottles of Schlösser Alt, 96 bottles
of Heineken, EUR 91 of meat. The day started, as a BBQ organised by the
Hell of Shame should start, with rain.
The following people were present: Ross,
Ton, Laura, Bas, Peter, Benjamin, Rianne, Evert, Ralph, Ilse, Erica, Brigitte,
Garbage, Michel, Niki and Bron.
Ofcourse some other stupid things must happen this day, we can still remember the following Hell of Shame moments: Peter, Laura and Ton gave Niki a ring to inform him that they were in the bus so he could pick them up from the bus stop. After Niki waited for more than 40 minutes at the bus (it is only 10 minutes from the train station), Peter gave me another call that they missed to stop and would give it another try to get out of the bus at the correct stop. When most of the people arrived we started
to play some flag football and drunk some beers, of course Laura was cleaning
Niki’s fishes since that has become a BBQ tradition. During Flag football
we only had one injured player. Michel was so nice to make a really Hell
of Shame moment by throwing the ball with that MUCH power that he broke
his upper arm. So some people could go to the hospital. Since Niki was
the only person who knew the way to the hospital, he had to come also.
Problem is; Niki always get sick when he is near a hospital so he had to
wait outside for the time the Docs where looking at Michel’s arm. After
one and half-hour they were ready with investigating Michel and he was
allowed to go home. Michel went back to the BBQ high on the drugs they
gave them against the pain and tried to party on.
Since Ralph was working in Romania the days before the BBQ, he arrived at Schiphol in the late afternoon. He was so smart to park his car in Schiphol so he could save some time to come by car instead of train. There was only one small problem: his car refused to start so he had some delay. Garbage gave Niki a ride to the Schiphol to pick up Bron, Niki took the last cold Schlösser to give Bron a nice Schlösser welcome. He only forgot that the rest of all Bottles of Schlösser were still in the Garbage’s car.
