'72 Chevelle Malibu This is the wife's car and yes she has sold it.. We acquired it September 2000 just after the sale of our camo'd blazer. From what we can tell the car is pretty much original and unmolested. It has a 307 in it that does run pretty strong, not super fast, we are guessing that it may run a high 14 second quarter mile. We also think that the 307 maybe the original motor, but possible rebuilt because it does not smoke at all. The pictures I have of it are of the day we brought it home. Since then we have done some body work and painted it flat black, cleaned it up, and cut a hole in the hood and put a Mr Gasket Street Scoop on it. We did buy brand new 2 1/2" Flowmaster exhaust system for it with 2 chamber mufflers. It has a 600 cfm Edelbrock carb and a Mallory Unilite distributor. We also have a carpet kit and headliner still in the box. The door panels are in good shape just the original butterscotch color, the dash is in great shape (and black in color), the front seat is the original bench and split a little, the rear seat is in good shape, we have floor mats down over the bad carpet. I am a little upset over getting rid of it but we need something a little bigger and we did buy a Suburban, something strong enough to tow around our big yellow beast. *note: I just sold this car on 2-16-01 and will update this page when I post the most recent pics of it. I am also keeping in touch with the guy who sold it, so who knows maybe it will posted in readers rides. please click on the pictures to see them fullsized |
