'73 Camaro This website is not only for trucks but anything else cool. We have been into Camaro's long before trucks, but trucks don't require so much baby'ing. This was our 3rd Camaro and by far the nicest car we ever owned. We bought it in Feb 1995 and sold it in Feb 1999. When we first got it what a basket case, broken windshield, interior all taken apart, green with moss, no motor, and gold Trans Am wheels. After sitting in the garage for 5 months we had decided it was time to do something with the Barney purple thing taking up space in the garage. We bought a running 396 big block for $300 to throw in it, put Corvette Ralleys on, had a windshield put in, put a B & M star shifter in, and put the interior back together. After a week of hard work it was done and gorgeous. We enjoyed the car that way for over a year when a bad twist of fate we blew the 396 up. Sold the blown motor back to who we bought it from and got a running 350 with a flat cam and bad lifters for it for free. We ended up trading the 350 for a 454 about a year or so later and threw a 327 in it temporarily until we could build the 454. Well to make a long story short the 327 threw the harmonic balancer within a month and we lost interest in the 454 and traded it for something (can't remember what now lol ). After losing momentum on the car after 4 years we sold it. To this day I still wish I could have kept it. Please click on the pics to see them fullsized. |
