| German tourist Ulrich Schild, 39, was braught to a sharp halt by this branch when his motorbike span out of control on a road in the Dominican Republic. Despite being impaled on a 5ft long piece of wood, him and his girlfriend, Michell, were able to make there way to hospital. Doctors refused to opperate on him because he had no insurance, and it wasn't until the german Embassy agreed to cover the cost that the operation went ahead. |
