Biographical Sketch
of
Dr. Harold Helms
Dr. Harold Helms is
a native of
Concord, North Carolina,
where he
received his elementary
and secondary education. He did his college work at
L.I.F.E. Bible College
in Los Angeles, California and at the University of
Richmond, Virginia.
Dr. Helms pastored churches
in North Carolina and Virginia for 16 years
during which he and
also served as
Divisional Superintendent
for his
denomination in Western
North
Carolina and in Virginia,
West Virginia, and Kentucky.
For 10 years he served
as Dean of
Students at Mount Vernon
Bible
College in Ohio.
He has also been used extensively by various Christian groups to minister
in youth camps, conventions, and churches, both in the United States and
in many foreign countries.
Dr. Helms also served
for 18 years on the International Board of the
Foursquare Church during
which time he filled the office of Vice President for 13 years and served
as President for one year. Having retired from his 18 year pastorate
of Angelus Temple, he
remains busy in gospel
ministry.
Dr. Helms and his wife,
Winona reside in Bakersfield, California. They have four children,
seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
