My 66 ElCamino 396/4spd
A work in progress

I purchased the ElCamino in August of 2001, but due to many delays and setbacks I am still working on it. It was a "deal" I couldnt pass up a $200 basket case with potential I figured That this original 396 powered Elky deserved more that the crusher (which is where it was headed when I convinced the owner to sell it to me), so I will complete it someday (hopefully before my son is 16 in 12 years) and when this is done I have a 69 SS396 Chevelle waiting to be restored. I am not doing a frame off now I just want to clean it up and get it running. This vehicle was in suprisingly good condition the only damage was from past owners modifing it for use as a farm truck, luckily all of the panels were in decent condition and it has zero rot. I will be making it fit my liking without ruining its value as a classic. Check back from time to time and if you have any suggestions e-mail me at the address at the bottom of the page.
