Myrga Family

The Myrga family has 6 children, the youngest of whom is paralyzed. The mother, who is single, has breast cancer. Several of the boys have learning problems. Maciek, the oldest, works in a car shop on the weekends. He has had multiple surgeries on his left knee.
  • Ewa, age 5 - paralyzed and needs constant care
  • Paulina, age 8 - loves to paint and play with dolls
  • Dominik, age 11 - has learning problems
  • Pawel (Paul), age 12 - has learning problems but very joyful, has acute psorisis and needs constant re-evaluation and medical supervision
  • Arek, age 14 - talented painter
  • Maciek, age 16 - in a special program at school, as he has learning problems, plays role of father for the family

The founders of Help Children in Pogorzel, Poland, Elzbieta (Elizabeth) Zaremba-Swat and Krzysztof (Christopher) Swat, sponsor the Myrga family and hope to be able to send Arek to art school. They have been able to provide a lot of rehab equipment for Ewa and are planning to send Pawel to the seashore for summer vacation, in order to help his psorisis.
