A LETTER FROM TIFFY A.K.A. STEP MOM |
||
You know I believe that this needs to be explained, but to go into detail would be impossible. I know Emily better than most. She is the type that cries if she stubs her toe. Not that she has to, but she will play it up so I can cuddle and hold her for hours. She enjoys cats, scooby doo, and flowers. Emily's mom had to go to the hospital with Emily's other sister, because she had to have surgery. Jason and I offered, to take Jason down to go to Emily's kindergarten graduation. Anyway, when I picked up, Emily from school, she was crying. It was that the kids at school had been making fun of her, because she was wearing "boy shoes". They were a decent pair, but it broke our hearts to see her cry. So daddy and Tiffy went and bought her a pair of "girl shoes". I know some will say 'why if they were perfectly good, but I remember my own childhood. Being teased over such a silly thing like shoes, could ruin your world. I thought part of a parents job was to understand. To do so would mean it wasn't just a silly thing. Maybe that is why I remember it so clearly. You know before anybody filed anything I sat and explained to Emily that the court, would be deciding the home she would live in. I also explained that people might say bad things about her mom and her dad, and that they could be really mean. She said she understood, then I asked if she was sure she said "yes, I just don't want to live at aunt *****." But because her Grandma never had been around, neither one of us ever thought. I could go on for hours on the sweet things my girls do and have done. But what good does it do. The Friend of The Court advocate doesn't see it or even wants to see it. I don't believe he cares, I believe it's all just paperwork to him. If he wanted to I think the least he could have done is spent some time with Jason, Emily, Deanna and I. But he didn't instead he chose to go out of his way to prove my husband unfit. Instead of trying to be impartial, he has been clearly prejudicial towards my husband. I have never actually met this man, does that tell you anything. I have saw him in court and watched his demeaner. This advocate also has a history of ignoring the fathers complaints, a friend of ours as well has had a problem with this advocate. We filed a grievance before our court date, but I doubt that will do any good. He was a truancy officer we have learned, and that Bay County FOC was the one pushing for my husband to be arrested for truancy. |
