Sadly "Bill" passed away when only 5 years old from Cancer of the spleen that had spread.
He was an amazing boy - he could herd sheep, cattle & horses, and walk around in the foaling paddock with brood mares & foals without disturbing the Mares.
"Bill" loved everyone and everything, but was an excellent guard when at home.
Because of his size 28", made a terrific cart dog. He pulled the WCRCof WA's cart through the city of Perth in a parade, as well as doing PR work for the Rottweiler Breed here in
Western Australia....

A POEM by JO PECKHAM
(Life Member West Coast Rottweiler Club of Western Austratia)

The Rottweiler Club has grown from a seed,
it sprouted, then tembled, and bowed in the storm.
Loving hands nutured and supported it's growth,
Until it's roots took firm hold and it stood reborn.

Many fine people have given a lot to see it maintained,
And should be remembered for the significance it's gained.

We must keep records of the dogs and thier owners,
Before it's too late to recapture them still.
We accept that Members join and leave at thier will,
But some stay on though - like Pat and her "Bill".

The two were a team and known by all,
Shown to perfection he won and he won.
Then came the trials, and the memory of Pat shouting
"Bill, come!"
Big gentle "Bill", youve stamped your mark on the breed,
despite you left us so young.

We'll all lose our much loved mates in the end,
that's meant to be.
But let's not forget
