My darling mother taped it for me, so I have to look at it all, but I saw
the last group, so here are some thoughts.
Sylvia Fontana, who I love, and is better known to some of you as John
Zimmerman's girlfriend skated a blinder, skated clean, fell apart and bawled
in the kss and cry and is in 6th so she goes in the final group. Happy
dance!

Gusmeroli, I haven't seen but Nora adored her.

Butyrskaya was a disgrace, and to have her in third is an abombination. She
did a turn out of the lutz, couldn't get the combo, did a nice loop and
almost put a hand down on the axel. She was very elegant, and had a gorgeous
dress on, but third, no.

Volchkova wore an ice cream cone instead of a costume, but skated
clean....3lz 2toe, 3flip and ax. Nice beaming smiles. She's in second.

Slutskaya....believe the hype, she's back. She didn't look as comforable on
her jumps as Volchkova, but she landed all the same jumps as her, and her
presentation was so much better. The spins were superb, as you remember, and
I loved her. She's my favourite to win right now.

Julia Sebastyn fell three times. Alisa Drei was wonderful. Diana Poth was a
disaster but she got into kiss and cry and the first thing she said was "Hi
Simon, Hi Chris" - to the Eurosport commentators! Chris is a HUGE fan of
hers, and you could hear him speechless!
