Romania has just finished...nice blue dress with sequins like spiderweb on
the waist....quite nice...landed 3loop/2toe, 2ax, but fell on solo triple
toe....she changed her program, switching round the toe and loop...mayve it
unnerved her? Layback was nice but slow...Chris and Simon say it wasn't bad,
especially compared to the mens last night and I am so not going there!

In a little indian dress...orange fading down to flouresent
yellow....Egyptian style music....double axel was very small....she's only
16...down on the triple sal...which was to be the combo.....spiral in a
serpentine fashion, bent free leg...think it's intentional but it looks
bad....layback....triple toe was clean....camelto layback to sit..adn she's
travelling...back sit with leg on knee...upright...problems getting onto
back edge in back sit....steps....into flying camel.....with bent leg
later.....and she's done.

spiral holding skate....spiral...to spiral with leg in front, then back
again....clean double axel....layback....leg not turned out much...music
speeds....crowd clap during her footwork sequence....flying sit....good
entry ,butterfly entry chris calls it....I don't know...for all her
experience, it just seemed like a very junior program....very slow and
tentative...she never looked like she was going to get the flip...the toe

Nice purple and mauve dress....purple toe, mauve skirt...Somewhere in
Time...I love this music!...yes! triple lutz double toe....that was
gorgoeous....camel...flying camel at that..not much elevation, but nice
position in the spin itself.....and she's down on the flip.....layback is
nice....well centred....psiral....changes foot.....back spiral...and onto
opp foot back spiral holding skate....double axel....circular steps....into
camel...to sit layback. change camel to sit...and scratch spin to
close...that was just gorgeous! She'll take that...pity about the mistake on
the flip, but the presentation was great....choice of music was perfect for
her, she's got great flow...a lovely style of skating on the ice...Chris
says there was a miss onthe steps before the flip so she would have been
deducted anyway, but it was a great performance, even with the
fall....Stephane Yvars with her....and I hope the judges go with her...Chris
and Simon say she looks great out there...down boys!
marks...come on....4.1-4.5...best so far, and they should be at least the
same for presentation...4.6-5.3 oh yes! a big lift!

Horrible dress...black with yellow piping and cut outs at the
waist...yuck... triple loop is clean to start....triple toe double
toe...circular step...flying camel....slow...music is nessun dorma....and
the double axel never looked on..short on rotation.....combo spin
..spirals....she's very slow across the ice...layback with leg bent at knee
and straight behind her...Dick Button would be spewing....and she's done.
Long time winding up the loop...cheated landing well disguised....combo was
fine....won't get to see the axel again, but Chris says taht she got it all
wrong stepping on the foot...her body weight went outside the circle, as it
was supposed to, but her foot/edge went into the circle, and she probably
knew at the top of the jump that she was in serious trouble.

From Illinois, but skating for Taipei....in navy dress....Beethoven's Last
Night, TranSiberian Orchestra.....layback to start and that's a blinding
position, she's right back...and she's down on the lutz..which was to be
combo....stpes into double toe should've been triple ......flying
camel....spirals to Moonlight Sonata...and she has great spiral
position...great extenstion, high and straight...wow on the final one....and
she got the double axel all wrong...couldn't even get up in the air, it was
a baby waltz jump...circular step...into camel to layback.....change
sit....crossfoot upright and she's done. 0.5 deduction on the axel, cause
it was an omission Chris thinks - there was nothing there....no confidence
on the jumps...spins were pretty though...and nice quality of
stroking....she's not happy....and that's some cough she has on her...and
she said in there that she couldn't breathe...which brings on a verse of the
"its so hot in here" song from Chris

Dress is black sparkled with white borders..not bad but for the choker
around her neck..and that wa sa bad fall on the lutz! I swear she
bounced!...clean on the flip.....layback with much travelling....camel to
sit to layback change sit to shotgun....she's got good speed I'll give her
that....spiral steps...and she's slowed down a goodbit....spreadeagle...slow
going into the double axel as well, which wasn't too high....flying camel
with more travel...circular step....good use of the edges throughout and
she's done....recovered well...yeah, the free foot caught, and she just went
flying....Chris says it probably looked worse than it was...

This is no place for her...red red dress with much sparkles...slashes cut of
it...Mission IMpossible 2....off the shoulder dress....it's quite
nice.....triple lutz double toe and that's more like it although Chris says
she cheats the takeoff....triple flip....flying camel....nice speed...posing
to the spanish music...double axel...she had to fight on that
one....spira...holding free leg... and change of foot...back spiral has nice
position....layback...very well centred....circular step.....and she's using
every spare inch of the rink...combo spin....travel on some of the changes
especially the last one..but she's smiling as she finishes and the crowd are
cheering...and you can really see on the lutz replay that she turns halfa
turn on the ice....all smiles in the kiss and cry...

Very tall leggy girl...in black dress with sparkles...and she flies in to
the triple lz double toe...layback.....where she holds the skate balde at
the end...steps...triple flip looked a little double footed....but Chris
says it didn't go down but it was close....spirals...in cluding a spread
eagle....flying camel...double axel...very strong...and she's another one
really using the ice....circular step from board to board....camel to half
biellman....to sit to upright holding out leg...and she's done with a little
nod to the judges for good effect!...she's only 16...and she flew through
the air ont he lutz, got so much ice coverage...and the flip was clean and
fully rotated...it didn't look it, but it was...thank god for instant
replay....she was 12th in Euros....

Lovely pale blue dress...as we see her slide into the barrier during the
warmup.....nose stud!....sorry, just noticed that!...Reflection from

lovely....layback is great and of course it is , she's swiss......lovely
flow across the ice...great speed in spirals....double axel...this is lovely
this is!...flying camel....straight line step...with lunges and
turns....camel to layback to sit change half bieelman....crossfoot and she's
done! Just great says Simon and I can't disagree....she was 5th at
Euros...great jumps, solid landings....made it all look easy...finally, a

top...has a son, born in june last year...slow going into triple lutz but
does it with a double toe at the end....and she's downon the loop...flying
camel...messy coming out of that...slow in the circular step...not great
knee bend...double axel....layback...again with knee out straight behind
her...spiral....back spirals....ina bauer...or what's meant to be
one.....camel to sit layback...change camel to sit to shotgun with skate
held at the top of the toe....not the pleasingest position! She smiles at
the end..and I dunno...I'm thinking that she needed someone out there to
give her a good old push....really slow going around....Chris says she was
short on layback spin rotation as well, so possible .2 deduction, meaning .6
off the base mark...nothing special in presentation...coach is Anna

Zorba the Greek...much illusion fabric in the pale aquamarine dress....litle
top and skirt more like!...down on the lutz...does the toe anyway, a
double...and she got that triple flip all wrong and just doubled it...camel
spin....spiral with waves of the hand....I can't get over how unflattering
the dress is....rolls the head as she goes around...double axel is
clean...camel to really low sit change camel.... and she's losing
speed...missed her foot for the catch...circular step....and she's very slow
going around...Dick Button is somewhere having kittens about the layback
position and she's finished....polite applause from the crowd....we see on
the footsie cam that she flutzed on the lutz so it would have been deducted
anyway...didn't see the flip again but I assure you that she leaned all over
it in the air and it never looked on...

Red dress with pink straps and leopardskin bodice...blues in the night is
the music....triple sal double toe to start, clean as a whistle....steps
into triple toe with puase between...flying camel....she looks strong in the
upper body chris says...double axel...leg was late getting around...slid on
takeoff??...circular step...with lunges....nice...camel to sit.. layback
change sit cross foot upright....spirals, g reat stretch although back
spiral not as good....layback spin, great position....leaning almost right
the way back....and a big smile from her! As if she was never
away...although she hadn't competed since worlds last year....Simon told us
that she was fragile, that if she missed a jump she went to pieces...no sign
of that here though! Dress probably sounds ickier than it was the way I said
it....it's quitenice...big smiles in the kiss and cry...4.3-5.0...we must've
missed something, although a lower tariff on the combo....4.9-5.4...she's in
third. a couple of 6ths!

As the roof comes off the building!...Fabulous red dress with a rolly scarfy
necky thingy.....Moon Ghosts is the music I'm told....triple lutz which I
think was df and then the 2toe was fine....glides around...and she's down on
the flip, which was double footed w...sit spin to layback to
sit....crossfoot spin....lovely music really suits her...flying
sit...spiral...as I notice the great ice coverage she has, and a fab back
spiral too....double axel is fine....circular step...goos change of
directions and turns...into layback and that's a lovely position on the arch
of the back...and she's done....and the crowd give her everything but she
doesn't look happy....very elegant skater, a beautiful program...lutz replay
was doublefooted...heavy doublefoot on the flip which caused the fall - it
got caught in the ice....all the rest of it was gorgeous....she's close to
tears in the kiss and cry...and there's silence there....

spiral...back spiral in biellman....2ax is clean....flying camel....with
illusion to exit....circular step...little hops and turns...layback....nice
position...right back on it....and she's done. Did she complete the circle
in the step sequence - it was hard to tell on the tv....and she was acutally
2 and a half times round on the loop, did the next half on the ice....did
the steps on the flip, no pause, but also no jump!..she looks happy as she
says hello to everyone...beaming smile never left her face...she's the
Hungarian national champion and we've had a whole Hungarian skater and no
mention of Diana Poth...Chris, has the missus gotten to you finally?

camel....amr movements...little travel on the end of hte spin
though....double axel...layback...spiral...back spiral, holding skate then
back spiral...straight line step....camel to sit change sit...to camel with
leg up...and she kneels on the ice one leg out and she's done....nice
routine. Technically it was sound...artistically I'm not sure...music wasn't
great and it didn't really keep my attention...she nearly ran out of room on
the combo jump...

spiral with leg bent but striahgten it and holds onto skate...camel to sit

a shame says Simon...she's a great skater, quality wise but that lutz will
kill her...the combo has to have a triple....love the presentation says
Chris....and since this is the girl who can do and has done in the past the
butt-ugly-butt-spin as a staple part of her combo spin, I am so thankful

I....wasn't sure about closure of patterns on spiral...short on spin

In an orange dress...backless....East of Eden....starts into spiral..begins
to build speed....perfect double axel, smooth running edge....triple lutz
double toe...late getting the foot out on the lutz....flying sit...nicely
centred, shedidn't budge....triple flip....clean as anything....circular
step...with a little jump...big smiles....she makes it all look
effortless...sit to Y spin...change sit..to Y again....she comes out of it,
runs fling her arms...great layback....and again ,she didn't
move...spiral... and you hsould hear the roar..and its her change edge
spiral...back spiral was glorious and she's done...and that as Simon says
was Kwan at her very best...Americans are on their feet...technically it was
all there..just a bit funny on the landing of the lutz but not enough to
deduct...left foot low but off....no problems with the flip...Frank Carroll
is beaming...someone shouts Ilove you and she says loveyou too into the
camera..thatwas cute!

Well now...the door is open....she's in her blue flamey dress....music is
Culture...4 times Euro champion...and the music starts then stops...she
smiles as she goes to the sound guy.....she comes out again...takes her
pose...and begins....3lz 2loop and no problems....double axel...steps into
the triple flip and it was great...layback...holding on to the skate and so
fast! steps...nice changes of direction on that...flying camel....back
spiral is wondrous....rest of the spiral steps ain't bad either....camel to
sit layback...biellman..change ...biellman....crossfoot scratch ...and she's
done.....oh yes says Simon ...that was great. Artistically, I preferred
Michelle's....it was smoother, more flowing etc. But, Irina's jumps were
perfect, combo harder, spins faster....and with the marks Michelle got, I'll
fall off my chair if Irina isn't first...I think I'm safe in making that
prediction!...We see the spins again and that combo spin was just
incredible... she couldn't have skated it better,,,and Chris says shes
faster across the ice than Michelle

step....camel to soemothing to something else change ....good spins but not
great spins, unusual positions...and she's done...Simon says she might be
above Kwan, Chris doesn't think so. THe jumps were amazing - she has such
height - but the rest weren't as strong...Chris says that her flip was done
on an outside edge making it a lutz....could be a deduction there if the

Nice pale blue dress although the sparkles cut my eyes
out...Rachmaninov....Vocalise....not sure of the makeup...a little
AuntSallyish.....builds speed....double axel to begin...chris calls her
extension on the landing beautiful...triple lutz double loop....change of
edge going into the lutz...flying camel to biellman position, arm across her
back...triple flip is her thrid jump...layback and I like that
position....ccircular step....she's got a nice easy feel to her
skating..spiral...just lovely positions....back spiral is nice too...camel
to layback change sit.. travel to Y....and she'sdone....... and the roar!
and she's beaming...as I realise I forgot to put the tape on to record
that....blast!..she blows kisses to the crowd....oh yeah that was a flutz.

routine before...am I the only person who was looking at her but seeing G&G

that was nearly an Ito! Chris and Simon recount that the standard here has
been great...the women are putting the men to shame...

flutz....steps...triple flip....much better...camel to sit to
layback....change sit....double axel and I think she yelled yes!

really nice layback......and she's done....the Americans are standing
again....as is a goodly portion of the rink...what a great skate. What a
great night of skating so far. flutz wasn't as bad as chris thought.....the
last ten shorts have been clean Chris stattoes....minor mistake from
Vanessa(turns on jump) and Sarah (flutz)...
marks...5.4-5.7..wow....they liked her!...they really liked her!...5.5-5.7
