When HenniSi hit top form they are the sort of live act that can leave you giddy with their Doors-y psychedelic blues that possess both power and finesse.

The vast library of music created in America's West coast during the late sixties and seventies has not gone unexplored, so credit to HenniSi for finding a way of doing something new with what have been well worn influences. Singer Don admitts the band have looked to the past for inspiration but stresses they are not merely retreading old ground. "Obviously you do look at what has gone before and take something from that, but we are using it all to make something what we fel is new. "Whatever goes into it, what we end up with is a fairly complex sound and one that takes a lot of work to get right." Unpretentious in the extreme Hennisi have the potential to go on and do something notabl. Already they have made a three track CD Merge and Invent which contains some of the best material I've heard from a local band in recent times, henniSi are at Fat Sam's onstage tonight about 10PM.
