Khanh Hoa province lies in the center of Vietnam, 1,450 km from Hanoi and 450 km from Ho Chi Minh City. The population mainly constitutes Kinh people, as well as a small percentage of Ra Glai, Tay, Nung, Muong, and Cham.

The tropical monsoon climate is influenced by oceanic weather. The annual average temperature is 26.5°C and the annual average hours of sunlight is between 1,600 and 2,300.

Visitors will enjoy the group of five or six islands situated close to each other. The largest of the islands is Hon Tre, which is located 3 km from Nha Trang.  Nha Trang is not only famous for its natural landscapes, but also for its heritage of the Cham culture.
