Astronaut Party

Decorations-

Use lots of silver and blue balloons and streamers. Wrap favors and presents in tin foil. Make some stars out of cardboard and spraypaint silver and gold- hang all over the walls.

Cake-

Make a moon cake! Using a store-bought cake mix, bake in a metal bowl to make a rounded cake. I have baked cakes in bowls of many different sizes, and it's always turned out well. It will take a bit longer than in a flat pan, usually about an hour, but check with a toothpick to make sure it's done all the way through. When cool, frost with gray icing-( add a little black paste food coloring till you get a nice shade). Frost roughly, so it looks bumpy like the moon. Add a small American flag on top, and use sparkling candles.

Food-

"Out of this world" punch-
Make blue punch (one part blue Hawaiian punch or Kool-aid to one part 7up). Using a star shaped candy mold, freeze make ice cubes with lemonade or orange juice. Float star cubes in punch.

Favors-

Milky Way candy bars, Star Wars figurines, or items from the Oriental Trading Company.

Games-

Hot asteroid -(instead of hot potato). You could use a beanbag for the asteroid.

Moon rock hunt- Spray paint small rounded rocks silver and hide them. Whoever finds the most wins a prize.

Pin the astronaut on the moon.
