Halloween Party

Decorations-

Set out lots of pumpkins and gourds.
Dim the lights and set out candles. (Electric or battery operated 'candles' are best around small children!)
Set out candy corn pumpkins. (see instructions below.)

Games-

Pumpkin Bowling
Set up plastic bowling pins (you can also use milk cartons). Take turns bowling using a pumpkin as a ball.

Pumpkin Seed Necklaces
Dye pumpkin seeds in a bowl with a small amout of rubbing alcohol and a few drops of food coloring. Let dry completely. String necklaces out of the colored seeds with yarn and a darning needle.

Have a "bug hunt". Get a large container of those little plastic bugs, and hide them around the house. The kids can keep what they find.

Chocolate Spiders
Cut chocolate twizzlers into 2” long pieces. On waxed paper arrange 8 pieces in a spoke pattern (these will be the “legs”). Drop 2 tsp. melted chocolate in the middle for the “body”. Refrigerate until set.

Let the children mix this snack up at the party as you announce what ingredient to put in (the names in parenthesis). Serve in a plastic cauldron.

Roasted Pumpkin Seeds
Melt 1 Tbsp. butter per cup of seeds. Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Mix seeds and butter. Salt to taste. Bake until crisp and brown.

Favors-

Pinata Ghosts
Use large white napkins and put candy in the middle.Bring up the edges, and tie at the 'neck'. Add black circles for eyes. Make one for each child and set at each table setting.

Candy Corn Pumpkins
