Pin the Nose on Elmo
Draw a giant Elmo face onto posterboard. (Without the nose.) Cut out orange ovals for noses, and stick them on while blindfolded.

Feed Cookie Monster
Draw a large Cookie Monster face with his mouth wide open onto cardboard. Cut out the mouth. Have the kids throw beanbag "cookies" into his mouth.

Favors

There is so much Sesame Street merchandise out there. Many would make good favors- books, coloring books, small beanbag characters, stickers, barettes, etc.

Cake

You can buy Seame Street character cake pans, or make your own Elmo face cake.

Elmo Cake (picture coming soon)-
Bake a round cake. Frost with red, and sprinkle with
red-tinted coconut fur. Use marshmallows with brown M&M's in the center for eyes. Use a Twizzler for the mouth. Make an oval sugar cookie, frost orange, and put on for the nose.

Foods

Cookie Monster's Favorite Cookies
1 cup Crisco
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 1/4 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups M&M's

Cream together Crisco, sugars, and eggs. Add vanilla, flour, soda and salt. Stir in M&M's. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto cookie sheets. Bake at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes until golden brown.

Big Bird's Nests
12 oz. package chocolate pieces
(milk or semi-sweet chocolate, peanut butter or butterscotch)
14 oz. coconut
12 oz. M&M's

Melt chips according to package directions. Add coconut. Drop heaping tablespoons of mixture onto waxed paper to form nests. Press with the back of a spoon and press 3-5 M&M's into the center. Chill until firm.

Monster Pizzas
Let each child decorate his own mini-pizza to look like his favorite Sesame Street monster. Give each child one toasted English muffin half. Spread with pizza sauce. Decorate with olive slice eyes, pepperoni half mouths, sausage noses, and shredded cheese fur. Bake at 350 degrees until cheese is melted.
