Scientific name:  Symphytum officinale L.

Other names:                Alkompre (Siq.)                   Kompre (Lan.)

            Comfrey is an herb with stout root, reaching about 90 cm in height.  The leaves are entire lanceolate, large and hairy.

            It is propagated by plantlets.

            WARNING:  Comfrey should not be taken internally.  It is a toxic plant.
