traditional uses

a.       bark

1.      decoction taken for diarrhea and dysentery

b.      leaves

1.      poultice applied on skin ulcers

2.      taken with salt to cure indigestion and to produce abortion

research findings

            bark contains tannin, fixed oil and olein. Bark has found to have mutagenic potential (may cause inborn defect or cancer)
