Traditional uses:

       A.  Leaves

      Juice taken in to expel intestinal worms.

B.     Fruit

1.   juice drunk to relieve fever.

2.   juice taken in for indigestion.

3.      juice drunk to increase amount of urine.

4.      young fruit eaten to promote bowel movement.

5.      young fruit eaten to expel intestinal worms.

6.      young fruit eaten to induce abortion.

7.      unripe fruit used to stop bleeding.

Food Values

             The ripe fruit is an excellent source of vitamin A, has good amount of Vitamin B and contains some amount of calcium and iron.
