             Talampunay is an herb growing up to a heaight of 1 meter. The stems are green. It has an alternate leaves, 10 to 18 cm long, 8-12 cm wide, ovate with inequalateral base and pointed tip. The margins are slightly lobed and with smooth petioles. The flowering stalks are terminal, 2-3 cm long. The flowers are fragrant, white, trumphet-shaped, 12-15 cm long. The fruit is a globose capsule covered with short spines or tubercles.

             It is propagated by seeds.
