Max's POV of his relationship with Liz.

Someone is unhappy with life and does something about it...

Destiny seems like nothing right now. But destiny is everything right now.As I kiss Tess I can scene Liz watching me. I can’t stand to hurt her like I am but I can’t seem to pull away from Tess either. Maybe this was meant to be after all. Maybe Liz and Kyle, Tess and me are supposed to be together, but then why do I feel for Liz this much. I have to stop this!

“Max? Max? Is there something wrong?” Tess says as I pull away from her embrace I want to tell her that everything we are doing is wrong. The thoughts of dought that Liz and I are supposed to be together are wrong, Thoughts of the possibility of us being together is WRONG. But there wasn’t enough time I needed to catch Liz before she did what I knew she would. But I am too late. I run out of the school to see Liz Parker, my Liz Parker, the love of my life, the holder of my heart, in the arms of another man. Sean Deluca. The words go through my brain and I feel my eyes start to sting with tears and I don’t care if anyone sees me cry for her. As I walk home without my date I still cry not with tears but with words. Soft and gentle off my lips, to a passerby I would look like some type of mental case but I didn’t care.

I didn’t care what anyone thought now that I didn’t have Liz I didn’t have my mind, soul, or heart. I was a corpse that sat during classes and got nothing done and did nothing at home. My grades dropped and I wanted less and less to see anyone. I used to think about life and “home.” Now all I thought about was Liz. Liz when we first met. Liz the day at the Crashdown. Liz when we first kissed. Then other feelings came, feelings of Liz and I getting married in Vegas when we are 19, making love to Liz. Going through time to a younger Liz. As I left my wife for years to save the world even though it, as to say my marriage to the woman I was leaving, would not exist. The feelings the emotions. The PLAN. The plan that Kyle and Liz would fake to sleep together. The hurt in my heart when I saw her like that. That last dance. I could feel the emotions coming from Liz. She loved me but she gave that away she had to. She moved on. I couldn’t hurt her anymore.

I understand now, what she did and why. I hope she will forgive me for this. I know I love her and I know she knows that. But if there is no Liz in my life my life doesn’t exist.

I can hear Isabel screaming when she sees me in my bed, pale and cold. I can see her picking up the empty bottle of pills on the floor and I hear her fall to the floor and scream my name.

I see everyone at my funeral. Michael is with Maria, Isabel with Alex, but where’s Liz? I can’t seem to see her. No there she is, in the corner with Sean. She’s crying. I want to hug her and kiss her and say it will all be ok, but now that’s Sean’s job. He’ll be there with her I know he will.

Tess never showed up. Destiny wasn’t that important to her when I was gone I guess. Or maybe she was just too shocked, but I didn’t see Kyle either and I’m guessing they are together.
My parents look soo scared. They wont let Izzy out of their site. I wish they knew the truth. I wish they could but even Isabel knows that she can’t tell Mom. I wish things could have been better. I wish that I could have stayed and worked everything out with everyone. These are my last words I gave everyone….

A leader does what he does,
Not for himself but for his group,

The best came from this,
I hope you all know that,

I love you all and this is nobody’s fault,
Not yours Isabel or Liz or Michael or Alex or Maria or Mom or Dad,

A leader does what he does,
Not for himself but for his group.
