This album contains some of the early work of Joan Ridgway, although a couple of these tracks are a bit noisy, for the sake of our C & W history it was felt that they should be included. Likewise tracks 9 and 10 are too far gone and little can be done with them, however the beginning of each are there to prove they did exist, and are part of our recorded history. Unfortunately the original masters no longer exist and these tracks were taken directly off old 79 discs. In 1950 Joan put together her own travelling variety show. Jim Ferricks was a very strong part of that show. Jim appears with Joan on tracks 6, 9, 16, and 17.
The original work on the reproduction was carried out by the Beat Barn Studio at Carina Qld.
