Secret Smile

Hermione practically danced along the worn paths in Hogsmeade.  She was so happy because she was going to see Draco
again, as they had established a rendezvous for that day.

She was really in love.  She was the only person who could see that something in him that made her actually like him.

She wished that everyone could know what a great guy he could be.  He was so sweet to her, and he didn’t show the side that
everyone knew of him.  She loved the way he held her close in his arms and then kissed her on the cheek.  In fact, she liked any
time he kissed her.

        So use it and prove it
        Remove this whirling sadness

It kind of made her sad that no one else knew the caring side of Draco.  If they did, they surely wouldn’t hold him in contempt
the way they did.  In addition to that, she wouldn’t have to sneak around to see him, because no one would really object to it.

It was really hard on her to keep their relationship a secret.  She was so happy to be with him that she wanted to proclaim her
love for him to the whole world.  But she couldn’t.

Just at the edge of the town, there he was, waiting for her, smiling.

She ran up to him and wrapped her arms around him in an affectionate hug.

He stroked her hair, glad to be with her.  He had missed her since they couldn’t be together much.  He hadn’t realized how
much he missed her until that moment.

        And soothe me, improve me
        I’m grieving, I’m barely believing, now

Draco wasn’t quite sure whether he was in reality or a dream.  To him, Hermione was a dream.  She was perfect.

        When you are flying around and around the world

It was worth it.  Since he didn’t get to see her much around school, he always looked forward to the Hogsmeade weekends.

        I know there’s something sacred and free reserved
        And received by me only

His anticipation for those weekends was what kept him going.  He knew that when they came, he would hurry to the secret
meeting place that was secluded from everyone and everything.

On those weekends, he knew he’d be greeted by her charming smile, complete with her buckteeth.  He actually thought that
they were cute on her.  Everything about her was cute.  Gorgeous.  Wonderful.  Beautiful.  Amazing.

The two were tangled in each other’s arms.  Nothing mattered except the here and now.  That’s all that would ever matter to
them.
