Book Four Rumors - True or False?

Book four in the HP series will NOT be called "Harry Potter and the Doomspell Tournament" but will still come out on July 8th. The new title is "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire"! It will be released in all English speaking countries at the same time!

In the fourth book Harry, Ron and Hermione will all fall in love---with the wrong people!

Harry is in contact with Sirius Black in book IV.

The Maurader's Map returns in book IV.

We will see how sensitive Ron is about his poverty in book IV. JKR was asked why Harry didn't give presents to Ron and Hermione and she answered that Harry knew Ron would feel insulted if Harry tried to give him too much.

JKR says, "In book IV you'll meet some creatures I did invent and I had fun making up their names. But I'm not goin to say what they are."

In book IV Harry goes to the Quidditch World Cup!

We will meet some other schools of wizardry like Hogwarts---which means more students!

In book IV Harry does decide he likes a girl, but it's not Hermione or Ginny. However, he's only 14 so there's plenty of time for him to change his mind. Do you recall in book III Ravenclaw seeker Cho Chang? And how Harry felt "...a jolt in the region of his stomach that he was sure had nothing to do with nerves." JKR says that "careful readers of book three will know who [Harry's crush] will be..." Is this her?

From Penelope of Ravenclaw: Harry may become Quidditch captain!

Book four will be over 600 pages long! Philosopher's Stone was 223, Chamber of Secrets was 251, and Prisoner of Azkaban was 317. Wow! (The US version will be 742 pages.)

Booksellers around the world have been asked to sign an agreement stating that they will not sell HP 4 until 12:01 July 8. Some stores are planning parties, sleepovers, or reading sessions to welcome the new book!
