A Harry Potter Story, by Ashley

"Harry, can you come here? No, not you Ron; just Harry,' said Hermione as she disappeared around the next corner.
"I wonder what she wants?" said Harry.
"Well, there are rumors going around that Hermione.....," Rons ears turned scarlet as he said this.
    "Well, what?"
"That Hermione has a crush on you."
"You're kidding me. I mean, me and Hermione... impossible... it could never happen... no," said Harry in disbelief.
"Alright, think what you wanna think, I'm just saying what I heard."
"You don't believe them Ron, do you?" asked Harry.
"I don't know," Ron replied as he laid a hand on his friend's shoulder.  "I don't know."
Harry shrugged off his best bud's hand and drew in a breath as he walked around the corner.
"Oh Harry, there you are, I was beginning to think that you stood me up," said Hermione breathlessly as she peered at his eyes.
They look wonderfully green today, she thought to herself.  "Um, Harry, can I ask you a question?"  Harry nodded.
Why is he so shy? she thought to herself. And why is he blushing?  "Well, Harry I don'y know how to ask this, but could you possibly go..."
"NO! I CAN'T GO TO THE DANCE WITH YOU!"
"Harry! Why are you shouting? No, that's not what I wanted to ask you."
"It's not?" replied Harry in complete relief.
"No silly, I wanted you to ask Ron if he would like me to help him with his project later. You know, the invisibility counterpotion we have to make for Professor Snape?"
"So, you don't like me?" asked Harry.
    "Well, I don't really know."
"What do you mean you don't know!? The answer should be no!"
"Maybe it is," replied Hermione cooly.
"It's either yes or no, Hermione! Answer me!" Harry really wasn't in a good mood, but neither was Hermione.
"Harry, do me a favor and leave me alone!"
"If we're going to be friends you have to tell me!"
"If you were my friend you'd leave me alone!" Hermione screamed.
"Well, maybe we shouldn't be friends then, because friends don't keep secrets, HER-MI-O-NEE!" I mean, what kind of name is that!"
    "What about my name?!"
"It's so weird. Half the people you know can't spell it or either say it!"
"Well, listen to your name Harry!" she retorted.
    "What about my name!?"
"It's so common and nasty! HARRY! Ugh!" and with her last words she stalked off.
Later in the common room, Harry replayed the conversation... er, fight.
"I mean she was completely out of hand."
"Girls, who can understand them?" replied Ron.
"I know, one minute their your friends, then they like you, then they don't know, and before you know it, you're one of their worst mortal enemies."
"Girls, we're better off without them."

Epilogue: Because I am a girl I wasn't going to let this story end with the boys winning. Later that week, Harry realized that he was completly out of line, so he apologized to Hermione. She forgave him, but not without the scornful lecture she just had to give him. Later she realized that she actually liked Ron. Five years after graduation the two were married. The three are currently living in Hogsmeade where Ron amd Hermione own a sweets shop next to Fred and George's joke shop and by Harry's Quiddich Supplies. They have managed to always be friends.

Harry's Griffin, by Meagan Jungman

One day Ron and Harry were listening to Hagrid talk about griffins in Care of Magical Creatures class. Unfortunately, Hagrid did not have any griffins with him.
"Don't want anything to happen to anybody again," said Hagrid.   Harry and Ron exchanged glances. They all knew about Buckbeak and Malfoy. Malfoy had insulted Buckbeak. You never ever insult a Hippogriff, because of their knifelike beaks and deadly claws.  Well, he did and he got a nasty cut in his arm. Of course, Madam Pomfrey fixed it up as good as new, but Malfoy complained so much Hagrid almost lost his job.
                                             *
Harry wanted more than anything to see a griffin but right now he to concentrate on some strategy for the Quidditch game.
                                             *
Later that night the Quidditch was on! Griffindor was losing to the Slytherins! Even with all the cheering and hopeful voices the team looked beat.  Harry was dodging Bludgers and desperately looking for the Golden Snitch.  Then he spied something at the edge of the Forbidden Forest.  It was a griffin! He was so surprised he almost fell off his broom.  Something buzzing around his ear broke his trance.   Harry thought he was shooing a fly but instead his hand closed around a ball with wings on it.
It was the Golden Snitch!
"Gryffindor wins!" cried the announcer.
                                              *
Every game and practice after that, Harry thought about the griffin that he had seen at the edge of the forest.  Finally, Harry told Ron about the griffin. Ron couldn't believe his ears and asked Harry for all the details and so Harry began the story of Griffindor's griffin...but that's another story!
Hungarian Horntail, by Lian Munoz

The Hungarian Horntail,
Is a ferocious beast.
Thinking about Harry,
Being her feast.
Harry summoned his Firebolt,
And waited.
His stomach giving a jolt,
He flew up and down.
Collected the egg,
And flew to the ground.
The crowd roared,
And Harry soared.

On his broom flying high,
arms up- touching the sky.
No fears.

Harry you're the best
Triward Tournament- you pass the test.
Awesome.

Harry you are strong;
with friends you can never go wrong.

Harry you are true
As true as the red white and blue.
Honesty.
