THE RIDDLE HOUSE!
Once the home of the Riddle family, the Riddle House now holds riddles from the Harry Potter books.
ALCHEMY:
Alchemy is a  medieval chemical science and speculative philosophy aiming to achieve the transmutation of the base metals into gold, the discovery of a universal cure for disease, and the discovery of a means of indefinitely prolonging life (the Elixer of Life?)  Alchemy is also a power or process of transforming something common into something special (ordinary objects into gold!)
LOCKHART:
Lockhart, John Gibson, 1794-1854, was a Scottish novelist & biographer; author of novels "Adam Blair", "Reginald Dalton", etc., and the biography "Life of Sir Walter Scott" in 7 volumes (does this sound like our Lockhart?)
MINERVA:
Minerva was the Roman goddess of wisdom.
BASILISK:
A legendary animal with fatal breath and glance.
PHILOSOPHER'S STONE:
An imaginary stone, substance, or chemical preparation believed to have the power of transmuting baser metals into gold and sought by alchemists.
DRACO:
Athenian lawgiver; prepared the first comprehensive written law code for Athens (ca. 621 B.C.), prescribing death for most offenses, whence the word draconian.
Draco(nis) also means dragon!
REMUS (Lupin):
A son of Mars slain by his twin brother Romulus.  Romulus and Remus were two abondoned children, raised by a wolf.  Romulus, in an argument over where to found their city, killed his brother Remus and founded Rome.
Lupin is similar to lupine, which means wolf-like, just like bovine means cow-like and feline is cat-like.  I think lupus is Latin for wolf.

RUNNING WEASLE (Ron Weasley):
There was an old legend of a person called Running Weasel (sounds like Ron Weasley) and his rat, whom he dyed yellow (which Ron said he tried to do to Scabbers in the 1st book on the train) knocked over a lamp and killed Running Weasel. Also Running Weasel was an expert at Chess (so is Ron).
