From my first winter in Canada.
I started to feel my first winter when we got the first snowy day. For us it was something very unusual, since, as you may know, in Mexico are rare the places where it snows.
This first picture of this page is of that first snowy day of the winter 1998-1999. That same day we also had a party at the English school we used to go. As you can see, people of many nationalities goes to that school, and it is a good experience to get along with all that people.
I can't be missing my picture with Santa Claus, here I show you and don't forget to mail your letter to him each year; his address is: Santa Claus, Pole North, Canada, HOH-OHO. For sure he will write you back.
On December 21, 1998, my grandparents with my aunt Oliva and my uncle Toņo came over. With them we lived wonderful moments. One of those wonderful days was December 3, 1998.
After going around in downtown Toronto and cooked the yummy New Year dinner, we were waiting for the clock to mark 12 o'clock AM.
This pictures had to be taken for somebody, it was my uncle Toņo.
happy bithday mar ía
My first winter in Canada was also time for my first birthday, January 3rd, and the following pictures tell us about that. Well, since I was born my mommy took care of me and she loved to dress me and collect teddy bears for me, and since then people who know me gave me all kind of bears; and since my aunt Oliva was who bought the cake for me, she decided that on my birthday cake bears were not missed.
In this following picture I'm, after I had had some cake in my own, with my grandparents, my aunt Oliva, my uncle Toņo, Du family who were our next door neighbors a really big friends, and my daddy.
In this other there are almost the same people except my mom and our good friend Yudong Tang.
The night from January 2 to 3 we got a big snow storm. For January 10 there was a lot of snow still. My parents took advantage to take me some pictures. Some persons from my hometown when they saw these pictures thought I was on something else not just snow; it was only a snow wall.
Visits, even when they are very happy, they have to end. The visit of my grandparents ended on January 11, my dad shoot the next picture and he says it makes him sad to see my grandpa face. But that picture wasn't from the saddest moment, that moment was when they took their way at the airport. Life went on and snow kept falling. For January 17 the landscape looked like this. The small playground that is behind the building where we used to live looked like this; but that didn't impeded to ride my favorite cricket.
The snow mountains around all the city were so big. There in front of Vari Hall at York University there was no the exception. I suggest you to compare this picture to the other at the same place on the former page. One more with lots of snow.
On January 20, 1999, was the first birthday of my friend
The city of Toronto is also famous for its malls, and talking about malls, Eaton's Center is perhaps the most famous. Here I'm there.
On March 7 we decided to go with our friends Boniowski family to Westwood Mall where the Fantasy Fair is. Here I'm driving a truck along with Nati, my friend.
