Fanart by Yours Truly

I'm not always the fanartEE, sometimes I'm the fanartER. Okay, neither of those are real words. But seriously, sometimes I like something so much I gotta make fanart of it m'self. Here's some artwork I did to show my fandom for others.

WARNING: While I try to keep my comic fairly PG (PG-13 at worst), some of these are based on webcomics that are a bit more mature. Just cuz my fanart is pretty "safe" doesn't mean the comic/character it's based on is safe as well. You were warned.

I'd also like to mention that anyone/anything that I draw fanart of is copyright himself/herself/its creator/the company associated with it/etc. After all, that's why it's FANart and not ORIGINAL art.

Good and Evil

One comic I read daily is Evil Inc., whose artist I see every year at Wizard World Philly. It's a pretty good comic (check out my links page), so I did a bit of fanart. Here's a picture of Captain Heroic and Miss Match, two main characters who are secretly married with a kid, despite being a prominent superhero and supervillain.

Amazonian Gladiator

Okay, I'll admit it. I like that newly-revived American Gladiators show. I couldn't help but draw one of my own characters in Gladiator garb... and it was pretty easy to decide who to draw. Let's face it; on this show she might feel normal-sized around the female Gladiators...

A Diva who Rocks and A Wrestler with Socks

In addition to American Gladiators, I also watch WWE (I assure you, most of what I watch isn't testosterone-fueled athletic stuff... in fact, Gladiators and WWE is about as close as I get to watching sports). At Wizard World Philly 2008, I found out wrestlers Mick Foley and Christy Hemme would be in attendence, so I made fanart of them both. I managed to give Christy a copy of the fanart I drew but sadly, Foley was unable to attend due to scheduling conflicts with WWE. Bummer...

More Cow Belle!

After hearing that Crossworlds artist Darin Brown was feeling a bit down, I decided to cheer him up with a little fanart, partially inspired by one of my favorite SNL gags. If you wanna check out Crossworlds, go see my PG-13 to R-rated Links Page. If you wanna see Darin's interpretation of Titanium Maiden, check out the Commissioned Fanart Page.

Wii Feel Your Pain

One of the first webcomics I discovered was Polymer City Chronicles... a webcomic that's currently on a bit of a hiatus. In fact, the whole website is unavailable. But the comic's artist hasn't given up hope yet, and PCC will hopefully make a return soon (Well, someday...). While PCC eventually turned into a somewhat dramatic, plot-driven comic, its roots were more comedic, and frequently made jokes about video games and software companies. This fancomic I made hearkens back to those comedic roots (And follows, albeit a bit late, a recent webcomic trend of employing gags that use "crotch stars"). If you wanna see if PCC has returned (Or if, by the time you read this, the comic HAS returned and you just want to see it), go to my PG-13 to R-rated Links Page.

We Must Return to the Index!
