Links Rated G to PG
Here's a listing of many other webcomics that I enjoy, and that you might like too!
Each one is given a brief description and a maturity rating. Heed the maturity ratings! Quite frankly, there aren't a lot of G-Rated webcomics out there these days, which is why this page is so short. A lot of webcomic artists get into webcomics because their comic content is too mature for newspapers. But I digress... I'm hoping to expand this page eventually, so keep your eyes peeled. In the meantime, the comics shown below are still awesome, and shouldn't break your fragile little psyche.
THE ANGEL OF ST. THOMAS - http://www.angelofstthomas.com/?view=Home
RATING: PG
DESCRIPTION: The story of a young girl who's an angel... not a literal angel, but a guardian of a small island. With her amazing powers of flight and gravity manipulation, she'll do all she can to defend her home like her mother before her. Amazing artwork and a cast page that reveals that, this early on in the comic, we're looking at the mere tip of the Angel Iceberg that will show promise in the years to come.
COUNT YOUR SHEEP - http://countyoursheep.com/
RATING: G-PG
DESCRIPTION: It's about a young girl named Katie, her imaginary friend Ship the Sheep (Whom, unsurprsingly, she counts to get to sleep), and Katie's single mother Laurie. Apparently, Laurie can see Ship, as he was her imaginary friend when she was a child. Perhaps the most family friendly comic on the entire links page, with a few jokes that adults may get and children won't (But really nothing obscene). It's almost like the webcomic equivalent of a Chicken Soup for the Soul book, due to its relaxed nature and the fact that many a comic has a heavy "Awwwww!"-factor.
THE DREAMLAND CHRONICLES - http://www.thedreamlandchronicles.com/index.php
RATING: G-PG (Some violence)
DESCRIPTION: A young boy named Alexander used to go on adventures in a world of pure fantasy. A world that only existed in the minds of children. Here, he would explore and play with his friends, Kiwi the fairy, Paddington the rock boy, and Nastajia the elf princess. Then one day he discovered a sword being guarded by an evil dragon, and he would never dream another dream for the next 8 years. Now all grown up, Alexander has discovered how to reenter his dreams. He's found all his childhood friends and made some new ones, and now they're on a quest to stop that evil dragon, who has seized control of Dreamland. Oh, and did I mention that this entire comic is 3D CGI stuff? Cool.
KEVIN AND KELL - http://www.kevinandkell.com/index.html
RATING: G-PG
DESCRIPTION: He's a rabbit. She's a wolf. They're married, in a world where prejudice is not based on race or religion, but by diet. Thus a predator species and prey species being married is looked on as odd. Still, this couple does their best to hold their family - consisting of brainy daughter Lindesfarne (An adopted hedgehog), typical teen son Rudy (A wolf from Kell's previous marriage), and infant daughter Coney (A carnivorous bunny) - together in a judgemental world. You may remember the comic's artist - Bill Holbrook - as being the guy behind newspaper comics On the Fasttrack and Safe Havens.
SILENT KIMBLY - http://www.silentkimbly.com/
RATING: G
DESCRIPTION: This cutesy kiddie comic doesn't have a plotline at all, or even words aside from a caption. Basically, Kimbly and company are in a silly world which very well could exist in the mind of a 6-year-old. In this world, they act out puns and plays on words. Usually there's a caption under each picture explaining the gag, but sometimes you'll see a "Can You Guess the Pun?" message. This comic is very simplistic and appropriate for all ages, but can be enjoyable for even older readers who can take pleasure in a simple joke in perhaps its purest form.
