Tenative C.R.A.S.H. Characters
When working on my webcomic, The Heroes of C.R.A.S.H., I figured that a cast of three might be a bit small, especially for an entire superhero school. I wound up drawing the first ideas that came into my mind, and wound up creating some possible future classmates and school faculty. At the time of this document being published, the characters below have yet to be seen in my webcomic, if they will be seen. Some of these may not make the cut, and some of the ones that WILL be seen may undergo some changes in name, appearance, or profile. However, here's the profiles I have so far:
Dark Guy - A sort of Batman parody, all he seems to do is be dark, brooding, and mysterious. His powers are unknown, if he has any.
Unk - Obviously a Hulk parody, but unlike his green-hued counterpart, Unk can control his transformation from man to creature, and his intelligence doesn't go down when he transforms (Which is good, because he's not too smart as a regular human).
Enticia - Although her appearance is based on that of Halle Berry, I created her leather-clad look BEFORE the Catwoman movie. Her power is that she can make about 97% of men do her bidding. However, she did not need her powers to make Unk her boyfriend, or to make Cannon develop a crush on her.
Gelatin Boy - I needed a nerd with the lamest power possible, because every school-based comic needs a nerd-figure. Gelatin Boy seemed to work out well, as being made of gelatin can probably only help in very, very few situations.
Dodge - I absolutely love Dodgeball, and I created a hero who could produce dodgeballs at will. I gave him a sort of "gym class" uniform, and a hairdo reminiscent of DragonBall Z's Goku, which just seemed to fit this loose-cannon-seeming character.
Amaze-O-Man - The principal of C.R.A.S.H., he was once one of the most famous superheroes around. He eventually retired as a superhero and took on the job of teaching the young heroes and heroines of tomorrow. Now and then, though, he still longs for and reminisces about the "good ol' days".
Duct Tape Dudette - What can I say; like many people, I love duct tape. Feeling that the comic needed more women and that the power of duct tape was too awesome to not put in the comic, I created the awkwardly-named Duct Tape Dudette, whose name may be revised if she makes it into the strip.
Captain Royal - "C.R.A.S.H." is short for "The Captain Royal Academy of SuperHeroism", and this is the man it's named after. Captain Royal was perhaps the greatest superhero of all time, until his tragic disappearance. Whether he's still alive remains a mystery to this day...!
The Narrator - His super-power? Stating the obvious. Giving the story's narrator a personality adds to the humor derived from breaking the fourth wall, something that frequently occurs in my comic.
