Message in an emerald by Herofox and Hellfox
(At base one morning. Hound is trying to supercharge.)
Solar inversion!
(He stays the same.)
Knux: That's not how you do it!
Solar inversion!
(Becomes Hyper Knuckles.)
H.K: Now you try it.
(Hound clutches the drive.)
Solar inversion!
(Still no difference.)
Hound: What do you think the problem is?
Hyper (changing back to regular Knux): I don't know. Why don't you take a walk while I take a look at your chaos drive?
(Meanwhile on earth.)
Miles: Mr Yakima, can I talk to you for a minute?
Yakima: Sure. What's on your mind?
Miles: Well...you've been so good to me all these years. And I think it's about time I moved out.
Yakima: Are you serious? Where will you live?
Miles: My friend Ronnie has a nice house near the forest. He said I could move in with him
Yakima: Ok. I'll miss you Miles and I'm sure Mia will too.
Mile: Thank you Mr Yakima.
(He leaves.)
(In the Mystic Ruins.)
Hound: How come the other's can super charge but I can't?
(He sees something glistening in the distance.)
Hound: Hey what's that? (As he walks over, he see's that it is a Black Chaos emerald.)
Hound: I didn't know there were 8 emeralds?
?????: There aren't 8, there are only 7. GIVE IT TO ME!
(All of a sudden Sally and the rest of the gang and about 50 mechas surrounded Hound.)
Sally: You wont get away with that emerald!
Hound: Well you aren't getting it!
(All of a sudden there is a blinding white light and all that Hound can see is a Clear white terrain. A hedgehog's shadow walks towards him.)
Hound: Huh? Sonic?
?????: No, But I did fight with him.
(The figure came up close.)
Hound: Hey, I know you, you saved Station Square, when the ARK space station started to fall, but I thought you died?
?????: Yes I was supposed to die, but on re-entry to Mobius, my soul became compressed and my body shattered only revealing this emerald. In life I saved the planet because of a girl I loved, but in this emerald, I see that everything I did has gone down the drain. I want t help but I cant while I'm in this emerald. I am hoping that with your help, together we can find a way to keep the promise I made all those years ago. Will you help me?
Hound: If you help me I'll help you.
?????: Let our strength be one. (They shake hands)
Hound: So be it.
(The blinding light fades from around Hound, but he's gone, instead there is another figure in his place. With black fur, red eyes, and red stripes.)
Sally: Who are you?
?????: I am Shadow Hound, the one and only ultimate life form! And your worst nightmare.
Sally: Oops, I think were going to go now...
SH: What's your hurry (he goes over to Sally) here take this with you. (he kicks her up the backside.)
Sally: Nooooo...Looks like were booted off again...
(she flies off into the distance.)
SH: Now for you losers...CHAOS SPEARE!!!
(Golden blasts of energy in the shape of arrows destroy all the mechas.)
SH (Walks over to Thundercloud.): Wanna try taking the emerald now?
TC: Is he some kind of monster!?
(The gang runs away screaming for their lives.)
(Shadow Hound Transforms back, and Hound notices a black button with a letter S on his ring gadget.)
Hound: Thank you friend. (The button blinks twice then stops.)
(Hound makes his way back to base and went home. That night Patch was moving out of the apartment.)
Patch: We'll I guess this is goodbye Hank.
Hank: Tell you what. How about I walk you to your new home?
Patch: Sure!
(Hank walks Patch to the ring gate.)
Hank: I've gotta go now. See ya around!
(He leaves while Patch waves goodbye. Cassie comes up to him.)
Cassie: About time you got here! Sonic's about to come through the portal.
(Outside the hut. Well actually it's been turned into a small hotel since Bunnie and Antoine had been working on it. They group is sitting around a campfire when Sonic comes through the ring gate. He activates a ring gadget and is now in his human form. "Morris")
Morris: No autographs please!
Eddy ^_^! : Same old Sonic.
Sandy: So what's the occasion?
Morris: Most of the original freedom fighters are back together. All we need now is Sally, and we'll have everybody in the bag!
(They have a barbeque. While Eddy and Tony are obviously getting drunk Patch has something to tell Morris.)
Patch: Can I talk to you alone for a moment?
Morris: Sure.
(They walk away from the main group.)
Patch (pulls out the black emerald.): There's someone in here, who said he'd like to talk to you.
Morris: How could someone fit into an emerald?
Patch: I'll show you.
(He focuses he energy and the two covered in a white light. Next thing you know they are on a white terrain in their mobian forms.)
Sonic: Where are we?
Hound: We're in our subconscious.
?????: So we meet again. You look well.
Sonic: I know that voice...
(Turns to see a black hedgehog with red eyes and quills that are styled upwards like Super Sonic.)
Sonic: It is you...Shadow!
Shadow: Hello Sonic. It's good to see you again.
Sonic: Where've you been all this time?
Shadow: I've been trapped inside the emerald for years. But when Hound used it my soul became free. Now Hound can use it to tap into my power. (He turns to Hound.) Remember, if you ever need to talk to me, just use the emerald.
Hound: Ok.
Shadow: I must go now. We shall meet again, my friends.
(The light fades and Morris and Patch are standing in the woods again.)
Patch: So how did you and Shadow first meet?
Morris: It's a long story...
(Flashbacks to Sonic Adventure 2)
Shadow was created by a scientist called Gerald Robotnik over sixty years ago. Shadow lived with Gerald and his granddaughter Maria on the space colony ARK.
One day a group called G.U.N. invaded the ark and killed almost everyone aboard. With her last breath Maria sent Shadow to Mobius hoping that he could give the people a chance to be happy. But GUN caught Shadow and put him into cryogenic suspension. Sixty years later Gerald's grandson Ivo released Shadow and offered to help him to avenge the deaths of all the people who died on the Ark. Shadow went on a rampage downtown and the cops mistook him for me! When I got out I tracked Shadow down to the Ark, which was now abandoned. But Gerald had also been plotting revenge... Before he was executed he left a recorded message telling his other creation, the Bio lizard, to pull the colony into the planet. Shadow and I supercharged in order to stop it. We succeeded, but it cost Shadow his life. The last I saw of him was a glowing light. Shadow had kept his promise to Maria.
Patch: Sounds like Shadow was a real hero.
Morris: He sure was. He sometimes bragged that he was the ultimate life form. I don't know weaver he was or not but I do know one thing I learned from him.
Patch: What's that?
Morris: Where there's darkness, you'll always find light.
