Sabers Pride by Herofox In a forest, three swatbots left over from the war were wondering. They had survived Hero Fox and Lightfist, but with Robotnik gone, they had no purpose. "Where do we go from here?" One of them asked. "To where all of Robotniks creations go." Said a deep voice. "To Robot Hell!" Then a large katana sword came spinning from nowhere and cut down one of the bots. Then a large yellow man came flying from the bushes and sliced through another of the trio. The third and final swatbot drew his blaster and shot franticly, but missed his target and the large figure landed behind the bot. From outside the forrest, all that could be heard was a loud roar, before a slash was heard. "This is no challenge." The mysterious shadow said, as his purple eyes looked up at the full moon. "But soon Tails...very soon." Next morning Tails and Storm where eating breakfast in their dorm. Storm: It's a good job we finished that homework assignment last light. Tails: Yeah. I haven't pulled an all-nighter since I was working on the Tornado. Storm: Hey, what say we go see the girls, maybe we could go on that double date. Tails: Good idea! (When they finish breakfast, they make there way to Flash and Bubble's dorm when a clerk runs up to Tails.) Clerk: Excuse me are you Miles Prower? Tails: Yeah, why? Clerk: We have a call for you from the palace. Tails: Okay thanks. Hey Storm, tell Flash I'll be along in a minute. Storm: Sure. See ya (As he walked down the hall) (Tails picked up the video phone recivere when he was in the office, and the face of a blue hedgehog appeared on the screen.) Tails: Hi Sonic! How's it hanging? Sonic: Everythings cool. For now at least. Could you come over? Theres something I need to talk to you about. Tails: Oh alright, but Let me call Storm and tell him I'm gonna be longer than expected. Sonic: Sure. (Later Tails is flying over to Sonics while Storm explains everything to Flash) Flash: -_-# What do you mean he's not coming? Storm: ^_^;;; As in, gone somewhere else... (Tails makes it to the palace and shakes hands with his old mentor and friend.) Tails: So what did you want to see me about Sonic? Sonic: The three jets you built have gone missing. Tails: What?! Sonic: For some reason they exited the hanger. Durring the week, the just took off. Tails: What are we going to do about it? Sonic: We've dispatched a search party. But you could help out too. Tails: But what about my school work? Sonic: Ever hear the phrase "Make up assignment"? Besides, it's a royal order. Tails C_C: isn't it nice to have friends in high places. Sonic: Sure is! Now, your first job is to go up to the floating island and get someone to help you look. Tails: How do I get there? Sonic: With this telipad (Sonic leads Tails to a telipad and the fox steps in. Sonic presses a button and Tails appears in a room on the Floating island.) (Tails decides that as long as he's on the island, he'll go see his older sister) The flight to Espios house was short and sweet. As Tails walked in he called for his sis Tails: Hey Sis! I'm back! (Told ya didn't I?) T2: Oh hi! How's life? Tails: Great! (They then sit down to a cosy little cup of coffee.) T2: So what's the deal with those jets you built? Tails: For some reason, they've disappeared. Sonic wants me to track them down. T2: Tough brake... Tails: Yeah. T2: I know! How 'bout I come and help! Tails: Are you sure? T2: Yeah! Besides, we haven't talked a lot lately so we can catch up. Tails: Okay. T2 ^o^: Great! Just give me a minute to get change. Tails: Okay, I'll wait by the telipad at Chaotix HQ After waiting a while for T2 to finish changing, Tails and his sister, use Knuckles telipad to go to the japanies regon. Soon, they reach the town square. As they walk through town, they remain unaware that Hound has followed them. (Insert that tune that plays on Pokemon when the camera turns to show team rocket lurking in the bushes.) Hound: If I follow those double-tailed freaks, maybe I can get some dirt on Flash! Tails and T2 continue to walk down a street, when T2 decides to start a conversation. T2: So Tails, what do you think of my new look? Tails: Huh? New look? (Tails then took a quick look to see that she's warring long black socks that go a long way up the legs, Large white boots a couple of holes in the body suit. T2: Well? Tails: Not bad. Hound: If you ask me, it looks crappy! T2: >o<# Why you little...! (She mega-kicks Hound and sends him flying into a girls water colsset where a lot of screaming a slapping could be heard.) Tails: 0_0! Very accurate... (Later, The are at a café. T2 is sipping tea while Tails is talking to another customer.) (When he returns to the table, he sits faceing T2.) T2: So did you find out anything? Tails: It seems that a mysterious guy passes through here a lot. They say he trains in the mountains out of town. T2: So are we heading there next? Tails: Yes. After I finnish my meal! (Starts eating his rice really REALLY fast. It goes all over the place.) T2: 0_0; Later, our hero and heroine are walking through a field outside of little Tokyo. T2: this place is pretty. Tails: Yeah. The say it's a great place to go on picnics. As they walk along the riverside, they pass a couple who Tails helped out earlier in the week. (You know, those lovers who Hound was harassing back in the first episode.) A white armadillo boy and a yellow cat girl where making out. T2: ^o^ Heh! That's cute. Tails: (Grabs her by the tail) C'mon miss romance. We've got work to do. Later, they reach the foot of the mountain. Tails: Well this is the place. T2: Can you hear something? Tails: Like what? Then, a large, lemon yellow figure jumped down toward the two foxes. He landed in front of Tails, with his face aimed down to the ground. He then raised his head to revile his long saber-like fangs, yellow fur and purple eyes. "Saber!" Tails exclamimed, happy to see his old friend again (Saber is a saber-toothed tiger. He appeared in Hero Fox season 1. He was second in command of the group Tails was leading. They where know as the "Terra Senshi".) "It's great to see you again!" But Saber didn't smile. He just kept his serious look and spoke in his deep voice "The feeling isn't mutual Prower." Tails then began to sweat. Saber was a trusted friend and usually cracked a little smile when seeing an old friend. "Err...are you okay?" Saber replied "I'm Fine. It's YOU I have a problem with!" "Huh?" Tails said, surprised at Sabers outburst "What's gotten into you? We used to make a great team!" Saber narrowed his tiger like eyes and answered "Yes we did. But it was always you, and not me who was hailed as a hero! And to make matters worse, when you where chosen to be the leader of the Terra Senshi, I expected you to be superior to me in a few ways. But from all I saw, you are nothing more than a common clown! All those months my rage increased. Always listening to the impudent comments of others in our group. And always walking in your shadow! So once Robotnik was gone, I began my quest. I began searching for others like Shenlong." "You mean...there are more people like the guy who trained us?" Tails asked. "Correct." Was Sabers response. "Shenlongs dojo is located in the canyon to the East. And there are three other dojos' like his. The mountains to the South are the dojo of Garuda, the Phoenix. The island to the North hides the dojo of Dracon, the Turtle. And the jungle to the west is the proving grounds of Bakudo, the Tiger. Once I had located Bakudo's domain, he began training me. I pushed my body to it's limits and beyond, until he was satisfied That I had mastered his attack technique: The Tiger Claw Attack. But enough of this little chat! I challenge you to dual! "Hold it!" T2 yelled. "Nobody beats up my little brother except me!" Tails: -_-! I don't think being protective will help... "Very well Saber. I don't want to fight, but I don't think you're giving me much choice!" Clouds filled the sky as the battle began. Tails starts spinning his tails, and charges at Saber. The large saber-tooth manages to dodge the foxes tackle and grabs him by the tail. Saber then flipped tails over and smashed him to the ground. "Tails!" T2 cried out. By this time she was extremely worried about Tails. "Don't worry, I'm okay!" Tails called back, as he jumped up before Saber could punch the grounded fox, and hit his one time friend with a punch of his own to the jaw. As Saber picked himself up off the ground, Tails, maintained his fighting stance. The tiger then wiped the blood away from his lips, and smiled wickedly at the smaller fox. "Not bad, for a weakling." Saber said before jumping into the air and crashing down on Tails with a powerful double pound. In a final desparation move, Tails began to fly up in the air, planning a dive bomb blow. However, Saber knew what to do. As lightning flashed the large cat like beast ran behind the flying fox who was temporarily blinded by the lightning. He jumped against the cliff face and rebounded so that he was behind Tails in the air with his claws drawn. Ready for his final attack... "Ah!" Tails gasped in fear. "Oh no!" T2 screamed. "TIGER CLAW!!!" That was the last thing they heard before Saber slashed at Tails from the back with three razor sharp claws. Sabers claws struck pain throughout Tails body and cut the red ribbon that was holding his Ponytail in place, leaving his hair flowing in the breeze before Tails landed face down on the grass. There were three bloody marks on Tails back where Saber had struck him. Then, Saber did something nobody would think him of being capable of. Saber kicked Tails unconscious body into the river where he drifted downstream. To be continued
