Shadows destiny by Herofox
(In this episode I used material from Dragonball Z near the end. NOT the closing paragraph though. That was something I maid up.)
(Mia, Storm, Cutter, Trigger, Bubble, Flash, Saber and Hound (c) Herofox {I think you've figured out that I own these guys by now}
T2 (c) Noele "Lara-su Fan" Carballo.)
Last time, Storm was able to change into his hyper form to de-robotisize Lupe, but the fight took a lot out of him. Now his friends struggle to get him back to the floating island. Meanwhile...
(Knuckles is talking to Julie-su telepathically using a technique use only by echidnas called "The soul touch")
Knuckles: So you'll be back by the end of today?
Julie-su: Sure will! I'm so excited! My trip took a little longer than I thought but finally I'm coming home!
Knuckles: I'm glad. I really missed you.
Julie-su: I missed you too Knux. I look forward to seeing you and Lara again.
Knuckles: Hey what say I get some Champaign and we have a privet welcome home party?
Julie-su: It's a date!
(End of mind meld.)
(If only everyone on the island was as happy as Knuckles.)
(Tails is groaning in bed.)
Mia: Doctor Quack! Help!
(Dr Quack comes in.)
Dr Quack: Nurse! Get me the anaesthetic!
(Amy's his nurse by the way. She gives him the needle and he prods Tails with it.)
Mia: Did that cure him?
Amy: No. It just knocked him out again.
Mia: Can't you do something to help him?
Dr Quack: I'm afraid not. We've done all we can to fix his body. The rest, is up to destiny.
Mia: Miles, please be okay...
Amy: Why don't you go get something to eat? We'll take care of him.
Mia: Alright.
(She leaves.)
Dr Quack: By the way Amy, your test results came in.
Amy: So have they figured out why I keep throwing up in the mornings?
Dr Quack: Yes. Have you noticed that your tummy seems to be a little bigger?
Amy: You mean...
Dr Quack: As of now you are on sick leave. Tell Manic the good news.
Amy: Oh thank you Doctor!
(She runs off to find Manic. Mean while on the ARK.)
Robotnik: Status report!
Snivly: We can have the doomsday engine ready; it's just going to take more time!
Robotnik: Then allow me to promote one last distraction!
(He tosses something to Snivly.)
Plant this in someone's hometown!
(He presses a button that opens a hole underneath Snivly and shoots him out of a cannon down to Mobius.)
Snivly (Still in mid free fall): I hate it when he does that!
(Meanwhile...on the unsuspecting planet below, Flash is visiting her mother.)
Flash's mom: Well at least you're taking care of yourself.
Flash: I don't mean to worry you mom.
(Something catches Flash's eye.)
Flash: Who's that I wonder?
(It's Lupe, Cutter, Trigger, Bubble, and Hound who are dragging an unconscious Storm on a stretcher behind them.)
(Back on the island)
Manic: Are you serious?
Amy: Yep. You're going to a daddy!
Manic: Wow...
(He hugs Amy)
Amy: The baby will grow up strong. Just like you.
Manic: And as beautiful as you are.
Amy: I love you Manic.
Manic: I love you too Ames
(Meanwhile with Sally and T2)
Sally: So you don't mind taking over for Tails while he's recuperating?
T2: Not at all. I'm just glad I can help.
(The alarm sounds.)
Sally: Here comes the first problem of the day...
T2: Is it Robotnik?
Sally: Probably. Go with Saber to investigate.
T2 (salutes): Yes sir!
(She revs up the white cyclone and Saber stands atop as the wing rider. Kinda like how Sonic and Tails used to travel in the original Tornado.)
T2: You're HOW old?
Saber: 1019 last time I checked.
T2: I guess you're not too popular with the ladies huh?
Saber: What do you mean by that?
T2: Well most dads don't like their daughters dating guys older than they are so nobody would want to date a guy old enough to be their great, great, great, great, great, grandpa!
Saber (0\/0#): I happen to be incredibly handsome for someone my age!
(T2 giggles quietly.)
(They fly to Flashes hometown where a battle is taking place.)
Thundercloud: MIGHTY FALCON BLOWS UP VILLAGE!!!
(The mad, bad, bird starts firing a rocket launcher when Flash, Bubble, Cutter, Trigger, Lupe and Hound intercept him.)
Flash: I thought we got rid of that creep!
Trigger: You can't keep a big mouth like his shut!
(Snivly watches the battle.)
Snivly: It's a good thing I ran into that screaming fool while searching for this place.
Now that the bomb is planted there's no way to stop it!
SHADOW BOTS! GOOOOOOO!!!
(A number of shadow bots appears behind Thundercloud.)
Thundercloud: I'd better move out of the way! I'll be back to destroy you another day!
Cutter: We'll see about that! Jerk!
(Saber and T2 make the scene.)
Lupe: Glad to meet you.
(Shakes Sabers hand)
I'm Lupe, former leader of the Wolf pack freedom fighters.
Saber: It's an honour to meet you. I'm Saber, leader of the Terra Senshi freedom fighters.
Flash: That's weird. From what I remember, Tails was the leader.
Saber (-_-;) Don't do this to me Flash!
(Turns to face the bots)
BUZZ SWORD!!!
(Takes out a few bots.)
Lupe (Claws glowing): CRESENT MOON STAR!
(She swings her claws and launches a wave of energy in the shape of an X from her claws.)
(Something catches Hounds eye)
Hound: Who's that?
(It's Snivly flying away in an egg-o-matic.)
What did he just do?
T2: C'mon Hound, lets check it out!
(The run into the ally where Snivly planted the bomb. T2 recognises the design.)
T2: Uh oh! I think we're in trouble!
Hound: What is it T2?
T2: It's a mega bomb! It has the power to wipe out an entire city!
Hound: Can you defuse it?
T2: I don't know! I've never done it before, but I'll give it a try!
(She opens up the hatch. There is a counter that says 1:00 then changes to 0:59, then0:58)
It's gonna blow in one minute?!
Hounds thought: There's no hope! Or is there?
(He pulls out the Shadow Emerald.)
I don't know if I'm worthy of your power, or even if your soul is still intact, but please, join me Shadow. We'll give the people of Mobius the chance to be safe, one more time!
(He starts glowing)
Shadows voice: I made a promise that I would give Mobius a chance to be happy. This if for our planet! You with me Hound?
Hound: All the way!
(T2 turns around to see that Hound is now black with red eyes.)
T2: Hound?
Shadow Hound: Listen to me.
(He puts his hand on the bomb. The timer now says 0:35.)
There's not much time left and I can only think of one way we can come out on top of this.
T2: What are you saying?
Shadow Hound: I may not be able to use chaos control to move objects on their own like Shadow could, but I can still make sure this bomb doesn't hurt anyone.
(She realises what he's up to.)
T2: Wait! There must be another way!
Shadow Hound: There isn't. I'm going to miss you and others. Make sure you tell them I had to do this.
T2: Sure...
(Shadow Hound vanishes in a flash of light.)
(Guess where he ends up!)
Julie-su (0_0): EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEKKK!!! HOUND HAVE YOU LOST YOUR MIND?!!
Shadow Hound: Sorry ma'am but this was the only place we could think to bring it.
Julie-su: You could have called first!
(The timer on the bomb says 0:05.)
(Shadow Hound runs at Julie su and jumps into her arms.)
CHAOS CONTROL!
(They vanish just an instant before Julie-su's shuttlecraft blew up. Don't worry Julie-su was the only person on board.
They land in the dessert where Julie-su falls on her back and rolls to her side while Shadow Hound is still in her arms. He changes back to normal Hound.)
Hound: Are you okay?
Julie-su: Yeah. Well my ship's gone but I'll admit that was some pretty quick thinking.
Hound: Thanks.
(Then he realises that he is still in her arms and starts blushing.)
(Back on the floating island.)
Knuckles: Julie-su's ship should be here by now. I wonder what's up?
(Julie-su uses the soul touch to talk to Knux again.)
Julie-su: Sorry I'm gonna be late. My ship was totalled. I'm in the dessert now.
Knuckles: How'd you end up there?
Julie-su (^-^;): Long story.
Julie-su (To Hound): Hey you can give him your message now.
(Hound puts his hand on her hart)
Hound (To Knuckles): Hi Knuckles it's me Hound. Listen, could you call Saber and the others to let them know I'm okay?
Knuckles: Weren't you just with him a few minutes ago?
Hound: It's a long story.
Knuckles: Maybe you two should wright a book together with all these long stories.
(Back to Saber and Co.)
Saber: I wonder what that attack was all about?
(T2 comes from round the corner.)
T2's thoughts: What should I say? How can I tell them that Hound's gone?
(Just then, Sabers ring gadget starts bleeping.)
Saber: What's to problem?
Knuckles: Just called to tell you that Hounds okay.
Bubble: He was just here a second ago?
T2: How'd he survive the bomb?
(Back to Julie-su and Hound.)
(The spirit of an orange female echidna appears in front of them.)
Hound: Who's that?
Julie-su: I think I know. I heard about you from Knuckles. Tikal right?
Tikal: Yes. I have come for a sprit who called for me.
(The Shadow emerald starts glowing and floats in front of Tikal. It glows brightly then becomes Shadow himself.)
Julie-su: Now that's something you don't see every day!
Shadow: Tikal, May I have a moment to say good-bye?
Hound: Goodbye...?
Tikal: Of course you may. I'll send for another spirit you know to guide you to the garden of heroes.
(The garden of heroes. You may remember this from Sonic adventure 2. It was a chao garden that looked like a place in heaven. I think of it as the place where good Mobians go when they die.)
(Tikals sprit vanishes. Shadow bends down and puts his hand on Hounds shoulder.)
Shadow: Listen to me Hound. I've been thinking a lot lately, about why bad guys always pick on you. Most of the guys who've attacked you have been after me.
Hound: You?
Shadow: Yeah. Think about it. Geoff, Metal Tails, Shadow Fox.
Hound: I guess. But where are you going with this?
Shadow: When Shadow Fox grabbed you, I realised that I was actually doing more harm than good. So I called out to Tikal to ask her to take my soul to the after life.
Hound: I understand. (Tears swell up in his eyes.) I'll miss you Shadow.
Shadow: And I'll miss you too Hound. You've been a good friend.
(They hug.)
(Just then a light shines behind them and a human girl with long blond hair and a beautiful pair of Angel wings steps out of it.)
Hound: Hey isn't that...
Shadow: Maria...
Maria: I have dreamed of this day for so long. Come, my dark angel.
(He walks over to her.)
Maria: You have earned your place in the garden of heroes.
Shadow: Thank you Maria.
(He takes her hand and they walk into the light. Just before he vanishes he turns to face Hound.)
Shadow: You'd better take note of everything that happens in your life, because when it's over I'm going to want to hear about it.
(He disappears.)
Hound: Sayonara...Shadow the Hedgehog.
Julie-su (Puts her arm around Hound): You know what they say Hound, If you really care about someone you'll always be willing to let them go.
Hound: Thanks.
And so ends the legacy of Shadow, one of the bravest Mobians of all.
Although he is dead in a physical sense, Shadow and the values he died for will never be forgotten.
Courage, Friendship, and Love.
If we can all keep these virtues alive, then we will have helped the world and given people everywhere the chance to be happy.
Just like Shadow.
