Last night kicked ass. It was the annual MBA Casino night where for $10 you get a decent buffet dinner and $1,500 worth of chips to waste on blackjack, Roulette, craps, and poker. The cool thing was that I met someone from my high school who had interviewed for the MBA program that very day. We didn't recognize each other at first although I DID think she looked vaguely familiar. It was really pathetic how we figured out we knew each other. First we talked about where we went to undergrad, then where we lived, then where we went to high school, and THEN we figured out which classes we had together and that we actually knew each other. She was MUCH cuter than I remember, though. But alas! Her ride got sick and they had to leave early. Sigh. I'll miss her...

Casino gambling is inherently stupid. It's like the lottery (a tax on people who can't do math) except you lose more. You have to figure that these casinos need to pay their rent, their salaries, and get a decent profit all on your losings. WAKE UP, AMERICA! THE ODDS ARE NOT IN YOUR FAVOR! If there's one thing MBA school has taught me, it's never accept a 2-1 payoff at 3-1 odds, and yet that's basically what people do when they go to casinos, or play the lottery, or pay taxes, or whatever.

BTW: I ended up with $14,175! DAMN I'm good!
