Dave
This is one of the first baby tarantulas I ever purchased, and it came from Spider Patch. That was winter, 2000. He was tiny then, he's tiny now. Even my Mexican Orange Knees are wildly outgrowing him! Well, at least he's cheap, easy to care for, and pretty darn docile.
When Dave was very small (even smaller than now), I had given him a water dish consisting of a medicine bottle cap with a cotton ball in it. One morning, I checked on him and saw him lying motionless in the water. I took him out and put him on the substrate, believing him drowned. When I returned from work, though, he was very much alive. I reckon I saved him in the nick of time. Now I don't even bother with a water dish, since he's a desert species anyway.
