Opening Theme – Blurry By Puddle of Mudd

((As the music starts up, the scene is the Square at Nibelheim and its pouring rain on a lone figure in blue in the square, as the drums begin to play, the person looks up to the sky as it rains…It’s a young Vincent from his days as a Turk. He sighs and slowly walks to the Mansion.))

Everything’s so blurry

and everyone's so fake

and everybody’s empty

and everything is so messed up

((He sees Lucrecia with Hojo, who are smiling, laughing and kissing, through a window of the mansion, he sighs again and walks away from the mansion back to the square.))

pre-occupied without you

I cannot live at all

my whole world surrounds you

((He trips as he reaches the square, but doesn’t bother to get back up at all. He cries as he lies on the ground while it still rains in Nibelheim…)

I stumble then I crawl

((The scene fades to Nibelheim 50 years later where it still rains, but instead of Vincent Valentine standing there staring into the rainy and dark clouded sky, his daughter, Serena Valentine, is looking up sadly.))

((Serena takes out a locket and opens it where a picture of her boyfriend alone and twin sister and father together were in, whose faces can’t be seen by shadows hiding their faces. She could be crying, but the rain makes it hard to tell. She holds it close and kisses the pictures of her loved ones.))

I wonder what you’re doing

imagine where you are

there's oceans in between us

but that's not very far

((Frequent scene changes of many different battles Serena and her sister take part in, where she fights with her fists and water magic, while her sister fights with fire magic and with a sword.))

((The last scene is of Serena spreading two beautiful white wings from her back.))

((Serena flies into the sky, but then begins to fall as the rain stops falling and her wings begin to disappear feather by feather. She doesn’t fall quickly, she seems like she is floating down to the ground.))

everyone is changing

there’s no one left that’s real

to make up your own ending

((A close – up of Serena’s profile as she falls slowly, while different battles with many different adversary play in front transparent. The last battle is where she uses Final Heaven for her final attack.))

((Serena’s boyfriend is standing in Nibelheim Square, his face still hidden away by the shadows, but his arms are outstretched waiting patiently to catch his falling angel. She finally gently lands in his arms and snuggles close to him, a small smile on her face.))

((Serena’s boyfriend carries her towards the Shinra Mansion so she could rest and is greeted by Serena’s twin sister who yells him and threatens to kill him for letting Serena get injured. He’s nonplussed and walks into the house when Serena wakes up. He looks at her, worried.))

I wonder what you’re doing

((Serena looks up at him and whispers words that no one can hear, but them and only them alone.))

((Serena promptly faints in her lover’s arms and goes limp, still smiling. Meanwhile in the bedroom of Vincent Valentine, he watches the sky outside as it begins to rain heavily again. He begins to remembers his days as a Turk and of that faithful day when it happened when he asked Lucrecia to marry him…))

Oh, nobody told me what you thought

everyone showed you where to turn

((As a close up of Vincent ensues, images of him asking Lucrecia to marry him and her running away appeared. His Turk self could be seen running around all over Nibelheim looking for her, but not being able to find her at all, but then he spots her…with Hojo.))

((Serena is sleeping in a bed, resting from exhaustion, her lover sitting next to her, holding her hand, hoping for her to be well soon. He sighs and kisses her hand and slowly falls asleep, too. He laid his head next to the pillow.))

((As a response, Serena’s hand squeezes her lovers and she shifts her body towards her lover, her head resting next to his.))
