About Hero Pens

The Shanghai Hero Pen Company is one of the earliest fountain pen makers in China.  Founded in 1931, the factory is originally known as Hua Fu. With the wide acceptance of the "Hero" brand in the market, the factory changed their name to "Hero" in 1966.  Hero is now the largest and the oldest pen makers in China, accounting for 50% of local pen sales and contributing to 60% of exporting from China.

Hero pens became well known to the fountain pen community when they introduced the "Hong Kong Return to Motherland 1997" Limited Edition. Employing the unique, distinguished Chinese shell carving Inlaid craftsmanship, these fountain pens are undoubtedly wonderful work of art.
