Valentines Day Remembered

We had no way of knowing,
It started as a little lark,
a way to do something special,
giving Valentines Day a little spark.

We would each send our own dream,
how could we have ever known,
that through our simple written words,
our views of love would be shown.

Just setting together, wrapped up close,
watching the sun set on a day spent together,
For our friend Matt and the lady of his dreams,
it seems any storm they could weather.

We'd talk of love, loving and being in love,
then fall asleep in each others arms,
Oh Kim, your simple Valentine wish,
shows us one of your many charms.

Bless this man, I'll always love,
for he holds the key to my heart.
Mindy, your love shines true,
even though you are apart.

We had so little, and yet so much,
because we were young, just twenty-five.
Guru, this I know is really true,
when our love was young and first alive.

The day would start, waking in the arms of my love,
kissing each other good morning on Valentines Day.
Judy it's easy to see, that love still grows in you,
by keeping this love alive, someday in kind he will repay.

It doesn't matter how cold it is,
as the fire in our hearts will warm us up.
The warmth from within, our Pete knows,
is more comforting than chocolate from a cup.

Being together, as the sun sets,
you search my eyes, I find myself in yours.
Rosebud, has found the door to the soul,
with eyes only for each other love secures.

The weather was perfect, the sky writer on time,
declaring "I love you " to this mate of mine.
Chloe you're so devoted, your love real,
your mate loves seeing your love shine.

We sit arm in arm looking at the flames,
saying prayers to God for getting us together.
Hershy loves his Swarup, it's so plain to see,
in his heart he holds her, tenderly as a feather.

My eight year old daughter and I were together,
sharing chocolate hearts and ice cream, it was special to me.
Linda knows that Valentines come from those we love,
from man or woman, mother or child love is and always will be.

My Valentines Day is not a "day",
it is celebrated all the days, forever.
This sums it up for one and all,
this phrase makes our Roops very clever.

So there you are with a bit from each,
to show our friends our loving views,
We all are romantics so it seems,
as we pair up two by twos.
