Very few ICARUS activities will be self-supporting financially, and ways of achieving some income should be explored, e.g. payment for conference attendance and subscription to the newsletter and journal. It is expected that all significant income will come from donations and grants. In this regard it is possible to identify three major target groups:

• The drinks industry

• The entertainment industry

• Grant funding bodies

Until recognised charitable status is acquired ICARUS will have to rely on private donation s and the support of well-wishers.
