I went to Grass Lake today (Wednesday July 11, 2001) to visit my brother, and just down the road is the Maple Grove Cemetary in Sylvan Township (Michigan, USA). I recieved a email from Jean-Louis Condro and he told me his Grandmother is Anna Marie (Großman) Heselschwerdt (Born October 31, 1790, Died March 08, 1870). Anna Marie came to American to be with her daughter Eva Marie (Born March 08, 1831, Died January 03, 1898). I took my camera with me and took the following pictures. These graves are facing towards the west.

I hope you enjoy these Jean-Louis.

This is Anna Marie's, It reads (Tombstone is all in German)
Anna Marie Heselschwerdt
Gest. D. 8 Marz (Died the 8th of March)
1870
All 79 Jahr (all of 79 years)
(I think it reads, but it is hard to see) Durch Leiden ????????
Last line is not readable

This grave is just to the left of Anna Marie's, and reads
Jake Heselschwerdt
Feb 10 1859
Died Oct. 9 1890

This grave reads
Mother / Father
Heselschwerdt
1823 1913/1820 1890
I believe this is the tombstone of Conrad Heselschwerdt and Anna Maria Alber. The brith and death years match, and Conrad is one of Anna Marie Großman and Johann Georg Heselschwerdt sons.

This is the last one in the front line. It is of
Samual J. Heselschwerdt
1861 - 1926

There is a Unknown grave marker (bottom one in picture, and facing the East) behind Anna Marie's and in front of Luella (top grave in picture)

This is the last one. Luella is two graves behind Anna Marie and faces east. It reads
Luella C. Heselschwerdt 1893 1896
