A Proclamation

 

WHEREAS, the State of Hessen and the State of Wisconsin have maintained an

amicable and productive sister-state relationship for many years; and  

 

WHEREAS, Wisconsin’s cultural heritage is deeply rooted in its German

counterpart, as exemplified by many German settlements across

the state; and

 

WHEREAS, the educational communities both in Wisconsin and in Hessen are

strongly committed to furthering international and cross-cultural

education; and

 

WHEREAS, a true understanding of another country’s history and culture can

                        only be enhanced of ideas and resources;

 

THEREFORE, be it resolved that the State Superintendent of Public

                        Instruction of the State of Wisconsin and the Kultusminister of the

                        State of Hessen establish and maintain a mutually advantageous

                        relationship between their schools.
