A Tribute to Wizardmon
The Great Wizardmon
Personal Information
Name: Wizardmon

Age: Unknown (Possibly centuries old)

Date of Birth: Unknown

Hometown: Unknown (Possibly Witchenly)

Hair color: Yellow brown

Eye color: Blue green

Level: Champion

Type: Data

Class: Wizard

Data Size: 15.0 G (Gigabytes)

Height: Approx. 4ft tall
Nature: Shy and caring, Wizardmon is an expert at tricking people and is also a fierce warrior. When he sets his mind to something, he usually gets it done.

Dress Code and Appearance: Wizardmon always wears his trademark blue cape with a skull brooch and a pointed steeple hat with a skull on it. He also wears a ragged yellow suit full of zippers and pockets where he stores magical items. His brown boots have two gold crescent moons as the buckles. He also wears a brown glove on each hand. His skin is blue-gray and few have seen his face in its entirety, mainly because he wears his collar up to hide his mouth. Threads stitch his mouth, but this does not prevent him from eating, talking or drinking. He also has pointed ears, like an elf. Lastly, the inner part of his cape has ancient symbols printed on it.

Weapons: His staff is made of wood, but the end of his staff is shaped like a sun. Sources indicate that it is actually a Digitama (Digi-Egg) hatching in radiant light. Others say it looks like a traditional Digital pet carrier, a Tamagotchi.

Occupations: Wizard, Henchman, Mercenary, Stage Magician, and Birthday Party Entertainer

Known Weaknesses: He can't swim. Wizardmon is also vulnerable to ice magic and ice-based attacks.

Teams and Affiliations: Although he prefers to work alone, Wizardmon can work with any team and has been known to fight alongside (and against) some of the best (and worst) in the Digital World.
Powers, Abilities and Skills
Telepathy- Wizardmon can read minds and discover secrets. He also uses his telepathy to locate sentient beings in a large area such as a city. (From the TV series)
Flight- Wizardmon can fly and defy gravity with impressive speed. He prefers fighting in the air and using it as an advantage against grounded foes. (From the TV series and the Card Game)

Lightning Generation (A.K.A. Thunder Cloud, A.K.A. Electro Squall, A.K.A. Cloud Thunder, A.K.A. Thunder Blaster)- Wizardmon can generate lightning from his fingertips and his wand. This is his favorite brand of magic and his most devastating attack. (All incarnations of Wizardmon)
Fire Generation (A.K.A. Magical Game)- Another one of Wizardmon's favorite attacks, Wizardmon can create fire from his fingertips and his wand. The more time he gets to charge his fire attacks, the farther they go... and the more powerful they become. (All incarnations of Wizardmon)

Fear Gas (A.K.A. Vision of Terror)- Wizardmon can crate a gas that, when inhaled, will cause whoever inhaled it to suffer horrifying hallucinations of their worst fears. (From the Card Game and the Video Games)
Invulnerability-  Wizardmon has incredible stamina and body durability. Fire attacks don't hurt him at all, and in fact make him even stronger. Wizardmon has the uncanny ability to get up even after taking attacks that would normally be the end of any lesser Digimon. He can go for weeks without water or food before finally collapsing. (All incarnations of Wizardmon)
Healing- Wizardmon can also heal others from wounds or fatal curses. He merely needs to perform a few hand gestures to heal a person from a coma state to the full bloom state of health. (From the TV series)

Conjurer- Wizardmon, being a real wizard, does not usually rely on parlor tricks in battle, however he is not above using them if the need arises. Among his many tricks include the ability to produce live doves from under his robe, the ability to make cards appear or vanish in thin air, and the ability to create dozens of helium balloons. (From the TV series)
Prophesy- Wizardmon can also reveal the future. However, can only achieve this power by dying. (From the TV series)
Reanimation- After death, Wizardmon can reanimate himself as a ghost. As a ghost he can shut down electronic devices and make them go haywire. He is intangible in this form. In ghost form he can reveal prophesies concerning future events. (From the TV series)

Memorable quotes from the series:

Wizardmon: Agunimon, can't you see? All these Wizardmon are me! We all look real because we are! Just try to run; you won't get far!

Wizardmon: It goes great with tacos!

Wizardmon: How could I betray you, when I was never on your side to begin with?

Wizardmon: Don't be sorry. I don't have any regrets. If I hadn't met you, my life would've had no meaning. I'm glad that you and I became friends.

Wizardmon: Your enemy; you cannot beat him as you are now! Your enemy is not the only the Digimon Emperor, but a much greater darkness. The darkness... it cannot be defeated with strength alone. You must return the one wrapped in darkness to his true self. Kindness will release the golden radiance. Kindness alone will not prevail, Gatomon. The golden radiance is also necessary. You don't have much time! Goodbye my friend...

Most memorable episodes that feature Wizardmon: "Wizardmon's Gift" and "Ghost of a Chance"
Movie appearance
Digimon-X Evolution: "Digimon X-Evolution" (subtitled "The 13th Royal Knight" on official material, but not in the movie itself) is the first Digimon movie entirely in CGI. The movie spans 75 minutes, making it the longest Digimon movie up to date. The story takes place in the Digital World, and it is based, to some degree, on Digimon Chronicle, the mini-manga and storyline accompanying the Pendulum X in Japan. Wizardmon makes an apperance as one of the supporters of the X-Digimon, and together with Sylphymon and Mummymon was involved in the major battle against the legion of Death-X Dorugremon.
Video Game Information
Digimon World 2: If you go to the Digimon Center, you can trade your Crabmon for Wizardmon. Wizardmon will have two techniques that can be incredibly useful at the beginning of the game. The first one is his Thunder Ball, which is a cheap counter attack that can stun an opposing Digimon. The other is Necro Magic which absorbs the MP from Digimon that were defeated in battle.

Digimon World 3:
Wizardmon is the shop manager in almost every item shop in the game. You will see him often if you become fond of buying curative items.

Digimon World: Digital Card Battle: Wizardmon will be one of your opponents in Sky City. You have to defeat him as one of your opponents so you can continue your journey. His Deck is not hard to defeat because it has a very weak offence. Be sure to visit him in Sky City later in the game, because eventually he will ask for magic words from you. If you can get the right words, he will give you extremely rare and powerful cards.

Wizardmon's Magic Words: A-VEEDRAMON, H-KBUTERIMON, JIJIMON, MTLETEMON, MTLGARURUMON, OMNIMON-1, OMNIMON-2, PIEDMON, VENOMMYOTIS, and WARGREYMON.
